I would NEVER EVER EVER EVER hire this man/company EVER! Stay far away. This man came into my house, spent less than 5 min looking at my oven without even turning it on and letting it heat up, just to stare at me and literally say, "that's the way the oven was built. If you don't like it buy a new oven." The oven is a fire hazard and I expressed this and he said "it's not my problem, that's the way the oven was built. Can't even buy parts for an oven that old." I replied, "I had this exact same oven in my last place and this didn't happen, it's not that old." He just stared at me. Then he spent less than 5 minutes looking at my dishwasher, which floods. He then stated, "I can't get your dishwasher to do what you say it's doing. I don't even think we could order parts for a dishwasher this old." Guy then stood there demanding payment of $75. He stated he refused to communicate with our warranty/claims people, write up a worksheet, or do anything without payment. This guy did absolutely NOTHING. He stated he does not bill his work and if he left without payment he would send me to collections. Needless to say I paid an old man for less than 15 minutes of work without an answer to the problems we're experiencing and not even a receipt showing work performed. Guy drove out to Powell Butte without any hesitation. The dryer was not doing the job and he was able to determine that the venting just needed cleaning. The companion washer needed a new door handle as ours was almost broken in half. He noted the model number then found the part that we needed on Amazon. He sent me a link with the ordering info and two days later the part was delivered at only $7! Took time to also answer questions abt other appliances in the home. Will certainly use/call again! This guy has been to my home three times and still has not repaired my oven. Says he can't fix it if the problem is intermittent. Meanwhile he's charging the home warranty company for a visit. Do not use this guy, if can help it. read more

Came out quickly for repair. Samsung dryer he said needed new heater. We spent $270 on new heater. We don't live in home full time so in October it went out again after using it 3-4 times. Called him out again he said it was blown fuse. Paid $120 for blown fuse. It worked one time and went out again. Without looking at it he said the motor must be going bad and blew out heater again. So I asked for some sort of refund since he won't repair it under warranty. We got $45. He didn't even test or look at it again just said bad motor made heater go out again and to get a new dryer. If he would have tested in June and found out dryer motor was going bad it would have saved me over $300. I wouldn't recommend him he seems to be a throw parts at it until it works and not diagnose why it went out repairman. Our regular guy who is awesome doesn't do Samsung. read more

If zero stars were an option, he'd get zero. Came to my house to tell me my microwave was not repairable after asking me the same two questions he asked me on the phone 5 days prior. He never touched my microwave, but was eager to get his hands on the $75 check I was required to submit for a warranty call. His visit lasted about 7 minutes, 6 of which were spent with Guy telling me he quit trying to learn new things two years ago as he wanted to retire. The home warranty company denied my claim based on Guy's "professional" assessment. Save yourself the trouble. Don't get a home warranty. And don't call Guy "the appliance guy"!! read more

We first met , "Guy" in 2006 when he worked for another entity and came out to repair our refrigerator. He impressed us with his knowledge, promptness and integrity. Over the years he also worked on our dryer and washer. When the washer broke again 9 years later we knew Guy had gone out on his own and again brought him in to work on our appliance. Guy was quick to respond to our Amana French Door icemaker needing service. He was friendly, very knowledgable and dug right in! He pointed out his concerns re the way the original icemaker had been installed and quickly corrected them, then ordered the new parts for it. As soon as he received them he replaced what was needed, all the while being careful of countertops and floors. Guy even called the next day to ensure the icemaker was working well. DON'T HIRE THIS GUY! Guy was contracted through my home warranty service. He attempted to fix my dishwasher, and installed a part that took over 3 weeks to order. I can only assume that he left the residence without checking to make sure it was working properly. I called him to let him know that it was still broken, and he said that he must have gotten a bad part, and would have to order another one. He said he would contact me when it came in to schedule another appointment to fix it. After 2 months and several unreturned phone calls, I finally got in touch with Guy. Asked him about the progress on the part only to be told that he no longer takes contract work from the warranty company. He refused to fix it, and offered no other help than to say I should call my warranty company. Not a man of his word. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS GUY. If he is the only service technician offered by your home warranty company, call them and request someone else right away! read more
