Tour has changed over the years. It used to allow access into more parts of the winery--or maybe I…read morejust got lucky because most of my family has worked here over the years. Now it feels a bit more commercial, with a cheesy 20 minute video advertisement thingy in the middle of the tour. Don't let that deter you. It really is a must visit. There's still so much to see and so much history and information to soak in, plus the sherries are quite delicious. We tried both the dry and sweet ones, and were given tapas (picos, cheese, cured meats) to munch on in between sips. The two-hour tour ends with a stroll through the gift shop, where I was able to snag a pair of Tio Pepe socks. They're my favorite. 4 stars. Solid.

Many spots in Jerez are not open on Sunday, but they were. We did a tour and tasting. The tour felt…read morea bit artificial, like if you went to Disneyland version of Spain instead of real Spain. The facility is very large -- the tour kept going and going. It was neat to see it. It started with a short motorized "train" ride which was mostly unnecessary and gimmicky. The tour was almost full, maybe 40 people. Then we had a tour guide walk us through various buildings and explain various things about the sherry-making process. She was not a very good tour guide -- she made mistakes / corrected herself and her English was so-so. If you can afford this large facility, fancy videos, etc you can afford better tour guides. Near the end was a video that was kind of cheesy, but used multiple projection screens in a very cool way. Then we did a tasting of five sherries; they were all pretty good. Overall, the tour at Cayetano del Pino nearby was more authentic, friendly, small-group, and informative.

Ok this is really getting silly. You removed my review because it is about their product? well why…read morethe F* would you shop a winery? for their wine product maybe? Is me liking their Sherry not enough? do I need to review their bathrooms or something? sheesh ---------------------------------------------------- We wanted to let you know that we've removed your review of Dios Baco. It's under the radar, has a great price performance value. Dios Baco in Jerez maybe even a good value in a a region where the whole is a good value. Dios Baco's Amontillado sherry is super complex. Fruits, nuts, caramel. It's great as a sipping wine but also excellent to cook with. It's not quite Pedro Ximinez but it's its still tasty

Sherry wine...I'm completely hooked. And, this old Bodega does not disappoint…read more We enjoyed the friendly atmosphere from all the employees we interacted with here at Dios Baco. And, most importantly, we enjoyed the fabulous Sherry wine, Brandy and Sherry vinegar we were fortunate enough to taste. 12€ a person for a pretty extensive tasting. Bring a snack to cleanse the palate and a thirst for some fine Sherry wine! We set up an English speaker for the explanations on exactly how Sherry is produced and she was so nice and knowledgable.
