Five stars for Düsseldorf. Best chocolate shop I've been to in the area and definitely hits the spot for hot chocolate. As tasty as it is for Düsseldorf it falls short of great hot chocolates found in Paris such as Angelina which arguably is the best hot chocolate I tried in my life. That said I never had a frappe of this quality in Europe. with grade a chocolate. It was certainly a refresher on a hot day without air conditioning in Germany. I bought fruit chocolates such as mango raspberry and blueberry from the shop attached to this. I had one sampling and was floored by how great the mango chocolates were. Each chocolate was a euro a piece so it wasn't too expensive for the grade. I'm looking forward to having a few of these when I return. If anything at all this place is located in the heart of altstadt so it's definitely worth a trip - at least to look at the cute design. read more

Gut und Gerne is a quite small cafe with a chocolate shop attached. I had a delicious pear cake while my friend drank a very large hot chocolate. Would definitely recommend this place for small break if you're exploring the city. The atmosphere is quite cozy, the staff is friendly, and the cake tasted delicious and homemade. read more

Cute little chocolate shop and small tea room. I believe they are cash only, but there is an atm across the street. We had 3 hot chocolates, one slice of cheesecake and one slice of cherry cake and it came to around 18euro, which seemed like a fair price. They make the hot chocolate on the stove as you order and it was delicious, and a good sized cup. Cakes are "homemade" and they were ok, not very sweet, but still good. The server was very kind and welcoming. I would definitely return to explore the variety of chocolates they have in the shop. read more

A cute chocolate shop in Old Town Düsseldorf that featured a chocolate fountain! Great service, good selection of items, and pretty displays all tempted me to purchase several souvenirs. This place gets pretty busy; we were here on a weekday and it was packed. I can't imagine how busy it would be on a weekend. if you love chocolate then there is no better place to go. I had been talking about this place ever since discussing my holiday plans with my friends in Dusseldorf .. I went there for the first time in the summer of 2010 and have been yearning for it, off and on, since then. The lovely chocolate perfume that permeats the place is a panacea for a wounded soul - the chocolate is scrumptious, artistic and out of this world. Choccywoccadoodah & Hotel Chocolat (both UK) have nothing on this place - they are rank amateurs. The staff are extremely helpful, with tips for storing the chocolate, how to properly eat it so you can get the most enjoyment from the chocolate and a lovely cafe next door for those who want a "chocolate moment" after emptying your wallet from major splurge spending. read more

The mostly charming chocolate shop I have ever been to! We bought some chocolates for family and took one to go to nibble on while shopping, but not before we sat down for a giant hot chocolate. Served in a charming little cafe style atmosphere with excellent servers who made everything to order. Absolutely the best chocolate in a cup we have ever had! Nice chocolate shop! They have a little coffee place right next door but separate so you don't get all the people standing in your way as your try to enjoy a cup of something warm. I was impressed by their selection and offering. Worth a stop to cure the chocoholic. Not cheap but good chocolate never is.
