My boyfriend and I stopped in on Valentine's day to pick up a few cookies and a blueberry muffin. I was surprised at how many Valentine's day themed baked goods were still available when we showed up. We bought some sugar cookies, chocolate chip, and a peanut butter. The muffin was for his grandmother, but it was the last blueberry on the shelf and it looked good. The cookies were fantastic. I personally had the peanut butter with a little dollop of chocolate in the middle. It had a slight chew and lots of peanut butter flavor. I thought the prices were a little high for the cakes, but maybe they're amazing! The customer-facing area of the business is on the smaller side. It would definitely feel crowded with 10 people in there. They have racks spread throughout so you can shop each corner without being forced to wait at the counter for everything. During a very warm day in April , 2026, went in the door at Gus' Goodies with my 9 week old tiny puppy to order a dozen donuts for a work crew at my home. Was promptly told by an older woman behind the counter that I could not bring my puppy inside to place an order so we left. She then came to the door offering to fulfil my order. She brought the 12 donuts to me and I gave her $20. Waited for change until it became evident I would receive nothing back. I feel taken advantage of and will NEVER go back to Gus' again. Wow... in town from Az. This place kept popping up in conversation with locals. Eventually we stopped to try it out... what a mistake.. Now everytime I drive by I have to talk myself out of pulling into that parking lot. Although the building itself is nothing remarkable, not even on the inside, what they create there makes up for it. I've tried cookies, buckeyes, a long john and a character cookie. Gus's made me a spectacular cake for my 22nd birthday! I'm not especially picky and so I just suggested the colors light blue and dark blue and let Gus's take it from there. They went above and beyond and created an amazing cake! I was so happy with it--it was beautiful and I kept opening my refrigerator to look at it. I've been here a couple times thru the years and don't remember being too impressed. But I wanted to give it a real chance, get there early enough for a selection and freshness, etc. So I tried a donut, two cookies, and two cupcakes. Chocolate iced cream filled Donut--4/5 stars (maybe) Lemon cookie--old and dry, unimpressive Oatmeal cookie--fresher, decent, I'd get again Cupcakes (one chocolate, one white)--disappointing, esp since I feel like I've heard their cakes talked up...one problem is that it was whipped icing and I'm not a fan, but even the cake itself was unimpressive A couple notes...one really odd thing about their donuts--they had round chocolate iced cream filled as well as long johns (which should essentially be the same thing, just in a different shape). The round ones had more icing than most places would, but the long johns, you practically had to look twice to find icing! So odd. Also, I hit it on a Monday, and apparently they mark a lot of stuff down on Mondays. I was buying a few things for someone else too, so in total I had two donuts, four cupcakes, and four cookies...and it was only $8! read more

I was very disappointed today. Called last week and placed an order. When I went to pick up my order today. They didn't have it ready. I was told they never received the order. Customer service was terrible. When I complained to the owner, he made me feel like I was lying. We have been ordering from them for 30 years. Never will go back. This bakery was highly recommended by the locals, even though it was further away than a few others. Smiley cookie was perfect, as was the white macadamia cookie and the red velvet cookie. I also tried a cupcake that was white cake, caramel filling, iced with some sort of miraculously fluffy creamy sweet goodness and sprinkled with paper thin almond slivers. This is undoubtedly the best pastry and doughnut shop in the area. Locally owned and goodies are baked fresh Monday through Friday. Doughnuts are large, soft abs come in a variety to please every taste. Their cinnamon rolls are delicacies that can be ordered iced with old fashioned icing on top, maple icing topped, or just as cinnamon glazed twists or rolls. Long johns are available with jelly filling, custard or white icing creme. I always am amazed and thrilled with everything I get here. I work in Pittsburgh and my coworkers always ask me to bring the pastries for morning meetings, despite others who live near "Peace, Love and Little Doughnuts" it Orem's. Their cupcakes and cookies are varied and have never failed to amaze! I have tried their cakes and pies and can't tell you one thing that is less than great!
