Overpriced decent food with a friendly touch.
No doubt, this recently opened Indian restaurant has a heartily atmosphere. The owner says, s/he exchanged his/her profession for the love of Indian cuisine, but, frankly, that doesn't cut it.
We took the opening menu (4 courses, €19.95) plus lentil soup. The poppadums were fine, the dips alright. The second starter, chicken and cheese, had a fine consistency, but a bland flavor. Main course, lamb khorma and a vegetable dish, had very little meat, which was decent, but far from great. Desert was plain vanilla ice cream with mango. Nothing was really bad, but no exceptional tastes, either.
Staff is very friendly and likes children, a definite plus.
Atmosphere is casual and the ambient is is congruent with the pretensions.
Altogether the ambitions are not met. Pity, because one feels that the staff tries to do their best. read more
