I bought an AR 15 from here thought it was over priced but I liked the gun so I purchased it. The barrel was not MD compliant so it needed to be swapped out. The salesman was not very talkative. I asked how long would it be to change the barrel. I was told Saturday, this was on a Tuesday. I purchased the gun. I received a call that Saturday from the gunsmith he said that he had to soak the barrel which will take a day or two and that the gun will be ready next Saturday. Next Saturday rolls around and I called to see if I could pick it up. I was told that the computer was being used at the moment and employee said he'd call me back in a few. Two hours past and I called again to be told it will be ready next Saturday, the gunsmith is really busy. I interjected stating the gunsmith himself called me and told me it would be ready this today. I was put on hold and when the employee picked the phone up again he said that it will be ready today within the hour. That let me know that he didn't even check, when I arrived to pick up my ar there was no box and no paperwork or owners manual so I inquired as to why . I was told the gun was used and I had no idea before I bought it ( all sales final) one of the employees said it had a used tag on it in a snarky tone. There was only one tag on the gun which stated that the it needed a barrel swap before it is sold . I didn't argue because I knew I would not get my money back. Another employer said that they sell soft cases in which I told him I will not spend another dime in this place. Gun monkey is a joke, overpriced merchandise and a bunch of scam artist dissimulators. I left there and drove to Big Dog outfitters across the bridge to get a gun case, magazines and ammo. Update 2024. I had visited the store last year to ask some questions about restoring two antique rifles I had. As soon as I came through the door, Anthony (if I remember his name correctly), immediately said we don't take that in trade. I told them I wasn't trading. Then he said those things won't shoot. Without knowing nothing about them. His partner asked him to chill out. I couldn't get a word in edgewise with Anthony, so I spoke with the partner. I was going to look at some AR 15s, but I was so pissed that I told them I would never come back and give them the stink to anyone who asked about them. IF I COULD GIVE THIS A NEGATIVE REVIEW, I WOULD! This is a horrible place to purchase a gun. I bought a firearm with these folks and when i called 3 weeks in he told me the gun had just shipped out but the receipt says other wise only 2 weeks for the firearm to arrive so i wait it out and i call the Friday coming up no one answers. I call the next day no one answers. On there wait call it says they answer asap to there emails. I send out emails still no response at this point it's 4 weeks and no one decides to answer me so i have no choice to dispute it. They are going back and forth with my bank refusing to give me my refund it took 2 months to finally get my refund. Turns out they moved locations to a smaller office due to poor income it was no wonder they we're not trying to give my money back worse experience ever i had a friend who had a similar problem......... Apparently, FFL is suspended or revoked, can't get a clear answer on that. So, dude cussed me out via FB messenger and kept calling me a Karen for not understanding his victim mentality. Here's my horrible experience with Gun Monkey's Armory in Laplata Md on Charles St. Long story short, I ordered a handgun for my wife and one for me. They came in a week apart( my handgun was ordered the at a later time???). Once mine came in, I dropped off night sights to get put on while I wait the 7 days. When, I go to pick up my firearm, I find out that they put my sights on somebody else's gun and didn't tell me. I had to inquire about them(took 2 days for a answer). Two weeks in and they still had my pistol. I finally pick up my firearm. Oh yeah, I purchase one holster and order another holster from them and they tell me that, it will take a week. Two and a half weeks later, they still don't have it. Again, no communication. Follow up to the holster issue. The owner calls a day after I pick up my firearm with a very argumentative tone. Rewind a day, While picking up my firearm, I talk with employees about all of the issues I've had with his service. So after this he calls me talking some garbage(as he talks over me very aggressively) and then he says he can't help that I'm inpatient and to come get my money. Wow, I was really shocked and upset at the same time. I have my money for my holster and I will have it Monday from a reputable dealer. You be the judge. read more

This company has no grip on their logistics and no sense of customer service. Three weeks ago, I ordered several boxes of various types of ammunition which were marked "in stock" on their website. Only after I got all the way through the order and payment submittal did I get an email saying that my items were not in fact "in stock" and that I'd be notified when they came in. That was three weeks ago. This is odd because the other local gun store has plenty of ammunition on their shelves. When I went today to pick up my items after finally being notified that they had arrived, and in compliance with their COVID restrictions, I called them, verified my identity over the phone and waited for the call that they told me I'd get letting me know to come in.. The sign on the door says "one customer inside at a time" and after waiting 30 minutes after I saw TWO customers exit, I still hadn't received that call so I left and sent them an email to cancel my order. 15 minutes later I got a call asking me if I was still outside. If the owners are already independently wealthy then I guess they don't have to care about their website or customer service...but if they aren't, perhaps you should focus on the community that has tried to support you over the years including after your recent robbery. I went to Gun Me nkeys in LaPlata to see about purchasing a Del Ton AR. The first day I was told they were going for around 500. The next I showed up ready to but it to find out the price had gone up to 580. Well I found that kinda strange so I didn't buy it. Well today (the third day) the price has gone up to 595...
