Unlike the rest of these stores that I've seen in this chain; this store sells Shell gasoline! Along with very visible HotSpot signage there's equally just as many Shell signs. HotSpot is owned by the Jordan Oil Company and has it's own fleet of gasoline tankers and its own brand of gas . This is odd! Unfortunately the entire store on the outside is under remodeling and construction. It was a little dicey getting in and out of their parking lot. Incidentally, the gas prices were a bit over the top pricey!

If you're heading north, you'll have to navigate a roundabout. This QT opened in November 2011. It's nice, but it's located in a not-so-nice neighborhood next to an old, shady motor lodge. It could be worse; there could be no QT. In general, I'm a fan of QT because this company has raised the standard for gas stations and convenience stores in Georgia and South Carolina. They've recently crept into North Carolina too, but North Carolina already had Sheetz. QTs are spacious and clean with competitive gas prices and made-to-order food and drink thanks to the in-house "QT Kitchens" brand. This store is in line with the others. We stopped here to get gas on our way from Atlanta to North Carolina. The gas prices were super cheap, one of the best things about South Carolina. The gas station has 20 pumps. I used pump #3. It was in good condition, but it was out of receipt paper. We went inside the store to use the restrooms (not spotless, but clean enough) and my fiancee purchased a hot dog for $1.59 plus tax. Like other convenience stores, QT has roller grills with warm hot dogs, taquitos, and more. My fiancee dressed the hot dog with ketchup, mustard, diced white onion, and relish. It was yummy. The store was well-stocked and looked to be in good order. There were lots of employees on-duty too. I'd return and probably will.

A windshield squeegee missing the wiping part, I also saw a messy coffee area, an out of service air machine and that's the worst of it. On the positive side of things, there's a huge number of hot and cold drinks available. For the most part, this store has well stocked and neat shelves. The one thing that makes QT stand out above similar places is the more than enough associates at each location and all are happy to assist customers. They are well trained and understand their mission.

She demanded ID from three older Hispanic men even though only one of them was purchasing a beer. The other two were simply shopping. She claimed it was "store policy" to ID everyone in the group, but when another customer questioned her about it, she suddenly did not ask that person for ID. The men appeared well over 30-40 and looked like they had just gotten off work. Instead of completing their purchase, they quietly left the store. Watching them walk out because of how they were treated was upsetting. If this is the type of treatment customers receive at this location, I will not be returning.

GasBuddy pointed me toward this Raceway as the least expensive fuel along my route through…read moreSpartanburg, and with the rain coming down in sheets it immediately had another advantage that mattered just as much to me, which is the covered walkway between the pump area and the store. On an evening like this, the idea of juggling an umbrella while trying to get a receipt, so the roof made the choice easy even with the neighboring QuikTrip sitting right there and usually being my default. The prices were close enough that the convenience won. The pump area was dry despite the weather and the fuel flowed quickly without any hiccups, which is always appreciated when you're trying to get back on the road. Unfortunately the receipt printer didn't work, so I did end up having to walk inside anyway, but at least I stayed dry on the way in. The store itself was bright and well stocked with the usual lineup of snacks and drinks, and there are apparently restrooms tucked toward the back for anyone who needs them. It's a straightforward, functional stop that did what I needed it to do on a rainy drive, even with the minor annoyance of the missing receipt. In the past I would stop frequently at the Raceway gas stations in my area. This was in the pre QT…read more days. Has anyone noticed that the QuikTrip has placed one of their great service stations as close to a Raceway store as possible! Boiling Springs S.C. And Interstate 85 at Fairview rd. are two local examples. I've recently been in the Fairview rd. location and it's obviously been hurt by the presence of the nearby QT. Items are priced very high.some shelves need more stock.It's apparent to me that Raceway has put up a good effort to maintain their share of customers. But what gas chain can compete with QuikTrip! There are too many of them and they offer services that Raceway can not compete with! Every local or interstate traveler is familiar with the differences between these two companies.If I just need quick gas I'd likely stop at Raceway as they are generally not busy all of the time. If I just needed to gas and go I'd still stop at Raceway!
