Lots of options for fuel in Blacksburg as it is just over the border into South Carolina and the gas taxes are a bit lower. If you're heading into North Carolina, expect to save as much as 10 cents a gallon plus a few cents for being in the 7-Eleven rewards program. This store has a small dining area which is nice. I did pick up a case of water from outside and that's now in the fridge of the Sprinter van. So now I don't need to stop for drinks nearly as often. This is without a doubt the best looking 7-Eleven I've ever seen! It looks brand new and sticks out like a sore thumb. It's got a gigantic back lot parking area and it's impressive! I saw this place from the interstate and knew I had to check it out! There's a nice convenience store inside and the entire place is spotless! The gas prices were incredibly low! I liked everything that I saw and will return here in the future as needed! read more

The store prices seemed reasonable and not at all out of line with other retailers on the local I-85 corridor. A prominent local person had a big problem them though. He bought gas with his debit card and was charged the credit card prices. It made our local newspaper. There's a cash price here and a higher credit card price for credit cards when purchasing gas. It's debatable whether debit cards are the same as cash. The store owner stood his ground and still has cash/ credit card prices posted. After all; it's the owners store and he can legally charge whatever he wants to price wise.
