On April 20, the garage door became stuck because the cable came off the track. I reached out multiple times throughout the day and received no response. At that point, the warranty becomes meaningless if the company cannot be reached. I had another garage door company come out and paid for a second repair, to replace the now damaged cables. They confirmed that while the spring replacement itself was done correctly, the cables were not properly adjusted and the door was left imbalanced, which likely contributed to the failure. It was also why the opener was so much noisier after the spring replacement (I was told it was from excess wear on it from trying to lift the door without the spring). The opener is once again very quiet and the door is raising and lowering very smoothly and quietly. I understand that issues can happen, but lack of responsiveness--especially for something that can pose a safety risk and was most likely related to work just done --is unacceptable. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this company nor would I use them again.

One of the technicians brought it to my attention that I would have to EVENTUALLY replace the door and he could give me a great price of $1900 for the garage door and new motor. I told him yes and that they could do the job the next day. He told me that he was going to get something from his truck so that he could get a color swatch from the garage door in order to match the paint with the new door. I began having a conversation with the second technician when I heard a grinding sound and I looked towards my garage door. This is when I saw the other technician taking a grinding wheel to my garage door without even asking for my permission to do so. I thought he was going to use a scraper!!!! I told him, "well shit! I guess I have no choice but to go through with the service now!" The technician place my trash can back in front of where he was shaving on the door..... well, what I THOUGHT HE WAS SHAVING!!! It wasn't until today when I moved my trash can to the side of the house that I saw that the technician CUT a hole in the door, instead of scraping the paint off. He strategically cut the hole exactly where the release bar is that locks the door into place. This compromises the safety of my family because anyone can reach into that hole and slide that bar to unlock it and then enter my home in the middle of the night!!! HE NEVER ASKED, NOR HAD MY PERMISSION, TO CUT A HOLE IN THE GARAGE DOOR!!! He did this on his own to guarantee the company would get the job! I also want to add that I casually told the technicians that I'm never home because I'm a flight attendant. I believe STRATEGICALLY cutting the hole in that location was done on purpose, so that someone could access my home when I wasn't there! This is a MAJOR safety issue!!! It was initially explained from Mike that the labor to install the new panel was included after I questioned the pricing on what was charged. Also what type of business would try to insult someone's personal intelligence at all let alone post it publicly. Shows the true colors of a person when they go to this level. Keep pricing transparent fair and consistent and you won't have future opportunities. I would recommend to others to ensure you know what you are going to be charged upfront as they stated they would do and did not happen. Once again technicians that came out were great with no issues with the work. UPDATE: True colors of an individual come out as seen in the review. Business owner Mike thinks he can take a bully approach to solve his problems. What comes goes around definitely comes around. Others beware the approach this business takes on taking care of its customers and their surprise billing practices.
