I had a quick and seamless experience at the Avondale Guitar Center!…read more As soon as I walked in and asked for help locating a specific item, Tristan immediately stopped what he was doing, came around the counter, and personally led me to the DJ section in the back. He didn't hesitate to grab a ladder and pull the item for me. What stood out most was the trust he showed, he allowed me to carry the item to the front myself, even though it was a higher-priced product which other businesses frown upon. The entire visit, from walking in to checking out took no more than 10 minutes, literally! Tristan was also very patient while helping me set up an account and clearly explained the warranty options without being pushy. His attitude and customer service were truly excellent. I actually returned about an hour later, just minutes before closing, and was helped by another associate, Andrew. Once again, I was greeted right away and asked how he could assist me. Andrew was calm, kind, and understanding, and he quickly helped me process an exchange without any issues. He handled everything efficiently and made the process stress-free. I honestly didn't expect to need to visit a Guitar Center, but this experience completely exceeded my expectations. The staff created a welcoming and helpful environment, and I highly recommend this location!

We signed two of our boys up for School of Rock over the summer, and it quickly became the…read morehighlight of the week for both of them. They looked forward to every class, and it was incredible to see their confidence and love of music grow. The instructors were fantastic, especially Noah, the keys instructor. After every practice, he sent thoughtful, detailed notes that were such a joy to read. He always highlighted our son's progress, spoke so positively about his potential, and made it clear that he truly cared about helping each student grow. Those updates meant so much to us as parents. The owner, Michael, is also wonderful to work with. He's incredibly hands-on, approachable, and genuinely invested in the success of both the students and the program. You can tell he pours his heart into creating a positive experience for every family. We also had the pleasure of interacting with Lex and Ally, and they were just as amazing--friendly, helpful, and always willing to answer questions or lend a hand. We're so grateful for the entire School of Rock team for making this such a positive and memorable experience. We highly recommend this program to any family looking for a fun, encouraging, and supportive place for their kids to learn music!

Mr. Keis is a consummate professional in every area of music. He has taught me so much in the past…read morefew years in regards to the piano. He has covered so many musical subjects in such a short period of time and has made them fun and exciting to learn. Mr. Keis has covered theory, harmony, grooves, scales, blues, jazz, improvisational techniques, and much much more. Mr. Keis is not only an excellent instructor but a Master Musician, Producer, Songwriter, Pianist, and Recording Engineer. Whatever level that you are on Bill has the ability to take you to higher levels of achievement. Bill is an innovator and has the ability to turn ones musical weaknesses into strengths in a relatively short period of time, just like magic.

Well, my "someday" occurred a little over two years ago and I was referred to Bill Keis by a piano tuner who played magnificently. Bill was actually this guy's teacher. (I had previously tried another teacher at a local music store who absolutely frustrated me. That guy was more interested in me listening to how great he played than teaching me. It almost made me quit keyboards altogether.) Fast forward to today. I am now reading music, improvising, playing jazz, blues, a touch of classical, and understanding much more about rhythm, harmony and melody. Bill is an experienced musician who actively plays live gigs, as well as an accomplished and sought-after arranger, composer and recording artist. Chick Correa? Jay Leno Show? Chico? Wow. He is the real deal. I can't recommend him enough as a teacher. I have weekly lessons at his studio, assuming my busy work schedule allows for it. It has proven to be a wonderful outlet for me. In addition, his book, The Complete Guide To Learning Music, is great for beginners, intermediate and advanced musicians as well. He has also authored a bunch of e-books for learning. I was not asked to provide this review, but am doing so in an effort to share my enthusiasm for Bill as a teacher. He is patient and can even work with a stubborn attorney like me!

I thought they might…read moreteach him some skills or different drawing techniques but it really was just him sitting in a classroom drawing next to other children. This may be helpful if your child doesn't have time to draw but for any blossoming artist who spends hours of their own time sitting and drawing there isn't any value to this time at Kat's verses being at home. I'm not sure the "teacher" has any sort of special training; actually i don't think I ever even saw the teacher or had any feedback from him/her(?) in the 4 months we attended. During this time I saw no change in skill or ability from this class. He didn't particularly enjoy it either. It seemed that the front desk assistant frequently taught the class which started late and ended early regularly. My son benefited from the Young Rembrandt's program at his school more than this program and YR, for the most part, just taught him how to shade. So the bar wasn't set extremely high. This school also requires a registration fee ($60) to even try any of the classes and also requires a credit card on file which they cannot update except in person. There isn't any online account management.. They don't allow for over the phone changes and their withdrawal policy is also very strict so we ended up paying for a month we didn't want. They also sent my credit card information entire number, expiration date, ccv code, address and full name (!) in clear text VIA EMAIL unencrypted which is very very horrendous security policy for a company who requires this information be provided. They are not obviously not PCI compliant so I'd be wary of providing them this information. They aren't particularly nice or friendly either. We won't be back.
