He installed the parts and went through additional troubleshooting with me to try to determine where there there were additional issues contributing to the problems I've been experiencing. It remains to be seen if this will affect the flooding/ice tray issue that previously has been happening. I really appreciated his thoroughness.

Don't. Just don't. I've used them once before for a dryer, and it went fine, but this time for a…read moredishwasher he came and said a part had to be ordered. I paid in advance (silly me!!). I heard nothing from him, so around the time the part was supposed to be in, I started trying to call him. Occasionally I would get him on the phone and he always said "I have to check, and I'll call you back," but never did. Most of the time he simply did not answer his phone or texts, and the voicemail has not been set up. Finally I caught him and he claimed he had the part, came by at the time we agreed, stayed maybe 3 minutes and said he had gotten confused and brought a part for a different customer, and that he would be right back. That was several days ago, and I have again not been able to get in touch with him since. I'm out the cost of the part and the original service call since I have to call someone else to start over at the beginning. Really, read the negative reviews and save yourself some headaches by calling someone else!

The Bad: First visit out the owner measured our areas and recommended what machines and how many. Then upon delivery our set up was not a match for what he recommended and we had to return two machines. The delivery guys dented and tore new vinyl flooring, even after being told it was a brand new floor and to put down cardboard or a blanket or something(which they did not do) Company did discount machines cost of floor repairs. Once they have sold you equipment they really are not anxious to have to come back out for repairs and discourage those trips by charging $200 trip fee (for around 75 miles) on top of repairs. There is only a 90 day warranty. In other words I am happy with the washers and dryers...not so much with customer service.

I have been using Herb Snow & Sons for man years, in fact I bought my Washer and Dryer from them 17…read moreyears ago. Their service is always quick, and on time, I only wish they carried more parts, so you didn't have to book two appointments everytime. Recently I had my Dryer serviced, and it is now running like new. Though there isn't a lot that can go wrong with a dryer, when the little drum support wheel bearings go, it gets noisy. The first appointment the technician diagnosed the problem and ordered the parts, he came back a week later and did the repair. When they order parts they require you pay in full before they order, and it is non-refundable, so you need to make sure you will have another day available to schedule them to come back. Other than that the work was finished in about an hour and a half, which wasn't bad since he had to tear the dryer completely apart. When it was back together, like I said, it sounded like it was new again. The technician said my Whirlpool built Maytag is good for another 17 years. Highly recommend Herb Snow, they are courteous, fast, and knowledgeable. The second appointment is inconvenient as scheduling two afternoons off work can be difficult. I imagine this is just the nature of the repair beast now. Still would not hesitate to give them a call again.

In March of 2023, my Samsung washing machine would not complete a spin cycle…read more Samsung recommended I contact Herb Snow & Son which I did on March 13, 2023. I was told it would cost $130.00 to come out and diagnose the problem + $120/hr labor plus the cost of the part. I was charged $195.00 for the part + $209.99 for the labor + $30.37 tax = $435.36 I later discovered the machine was under warranty. Herb Snow & Son was informed that it was only 2 years old, so they knew it was under warranty and never mentioned it to me. I was under the impression it had a 1-year warranty, when, in fact, it has a 10-year warranty. I found out later that the part Herb Snow sold me for $195.00 sells on Amazon for $21.99. Samsung told me they would have replaced it for free had Herb Snow had only called. At the very most, I should have been charged to come out and diagnose the problem ($130.00) plus labor ($120.00) for a total of $250.00. I ended up being charged $435.36. This amounts to an overcharge of $185.36, and overcharge of 42.58% Avoid these people as if your life depends on it! If you use them after reading this review, you deserve everything they are going to do to you! The only reason they use lubricant is to hold the sand on! I am surprised that local law enforcement doesn't require them to wear a mask and carry a gun.
