There are lovely seats near the "kitchen" area with high tables and chairs. I love getting my coffee at the bookstore, and then sitting here and reading. The staff choices and new additions are differ from Guilford Library - with more frequent fun and summer picks.

This libraries acoustics are so bad, I just can't go there any longer unless I'm picking up a book. No matter where you sit, all you hear is doors slamming everywhere and/or people talking loudly and/or kids running around. The worst is the design of the heavy metal doors on every room that make a loud click that travels through the entire building every time the door slams shut. The design here is a huge blunder. I have better concentration reading on a bench next to Rte. 1.

The museum is housed in a charming 17th-century building, which adds an authentic touch to the historical exhibits. The three floors are packed with interesting artifacts and furniture from the time, and the staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, providing plenty of background information that enhanced our experience. It wasn't busy at all, making it even more enjoyable. We left feeling like we'd stepped back in time--definitely worth a visit!

Read to Grow is one of the organizations that help make that happen. We easily went online for their application. Their workers then fill your order (mine is for a whole school). I believe there is an option to go and pick out your own books as well. I haven't used the Bookmobile, but I'm interested in seeing what that opportunity can bring. They work solely on donations (from anywhere and anyone). Sometimes they have more books than others, but flexibility will get you a ton of great books. Since January is national book month we will be setting up a take home library for our kids. We can't wait.

I stopped in today during my lunch break because I had a gift certificate given to me by one of my…read morestudents. It's a great little shop with a wonderful variety. The store is well organized, clean, bright and inviting. Many of the shelves display books by cover, not by binding which makes them more appealing and intriguing to the potential buyer. As an art teacher, I naturally gravitated to the adult coloring books and fresh sets of colored pencils. I purchased a small book, but now I wish I bought the colored pencils to go with it. I also got a baby book for my son, it was totally adorable. The nice older lady working there greeted me when I entered and was also super kind during check out. I ended up having money left over on the gift certificate to come back and spend at another time. Next time, maybe I'll focus towards the greeting cards, thank you notes, or better yet...those colored pencils.

I was very pleased with the service from the lady who worked upstairs. She was very helpful and knowledgeable with children books and even gave a lady and her newborn a quick story tell. She also gave me some insight on how to sell my mazes as they had a kids and an adult section for puzzles. Again, very pleased with this store and would recommend stopping in.
