Consumer be aware!…read more I utilized Mann Mortgage for a construction loan on my home. They provided me with a list of approved builders but do not trust that list. Its not a list of reputable builders but just companies they have worked with in the past. In addition, Mann Mortgage dispersed $184,000 of my loan money to the builder without ever checking to confirm progress. My broker was Greg Ando and when I told him how little was accomplished in the span of 11 months, he was surprised and caught off guard. Greg Ando told me that "we just lend money, we are not able to assist with disputes between you and the builder." Also, Mann Mortgage requires a general contractor to complete the work. It took me 30 days to locate a replacement builder because every company was A. too busy or B. did not want to take over some other company's unfinished job. As we were nearing completion of the project, Greg Ando told me that Mann Mortgage was unable to find a buyer for the loan since we had two builders. I explained that we intended to sell the home once it was complete. This conversation happened in August. Five days after the home was finished in October, we received a certified letter from an attorney representing Mann Mortgage. The letter stated we were in breach of the contract because the home was not finished in March, which gave Mann Mortgage the right to foreclose on us or the attorney demanded a swift payment of $394,660. We were never late on a single payment and were not prepared for that type of payment. The attorney involved was an absolute bully and provided little flexibility to work with us on an agreeable solution. We had to pay nearly $5,000 to break our apartment lease, refinance the loan with another company at a 7% interest rate, and move in the dead of winter. Had our conversation with Greg Ando in August indicated this sort of trouble, we could have moved when our lease was up in October and not spent thousands of dollars to break an apartment lease. Mann Mortgage and Greg Ando are incredibly unprofessional, incapable of explaining construction loans in layman's terms, and does not have the consumers best interests at heart. If you are needing a construction loan to build your home, go with a different company. I would never work with Mann Mortgage or Greg Ando ever!

Belinda told me to bring an amount to closing, which she failed to show up for, so I brought the amount that was asked of me. A month later my insurance agant calls me and tells me he has not been paid and my home is uninsured because they did not include my insurance in the closing cost as they were instructed. They didn't even bother to call me to tell and they knew about it, I had to call them, and then Belinda gives me this long winded run around about how she doesn't know how this happened and just kept saying she's sorry. At the end of the day it cost me and additional $1,100.00 because they failed to do their job. Go elsewhere for your mortgage needs. After talking to several people in this community they all told me they wish they had known I went there because they would have sent me some where else.

He stayed in touch with me in every step and was on top of all the items needed to get this closed on the date specified on the purchase agreement. I am writing this review in hopes that no one else has the horrible experience I had with Mann Mortgage. I felt like I was being cheated and robbed of thousands of dollars. Firstly, Greg did not lock in our mortgage rate when we told him to. He decided to wait - without telling us - to see what the rates would be the next day. He thought the rates would go down and they actually went up. Secondly, he kept trying to increase our loan origination fee that he told us he decides what he wants to charge. So basically, he kept wanting more money from us for no reason. I then find out that no honorable, educated, or well-respected mortgage broker charges a loan origination fee to the buyer- the bank gets charged this fee. As I said earlier, I felt robbed and cheated the whole time. I wanted to fire Greg and his company but we were so far into the home buying process and already put so much time and effort into it that we kept going. I wish we would have backed out. I hope with this review that no one gets robbed and cheated like we did by Greg.
