It's a shop of consensus; each artist is vetted by the current stakeholders in an organic free-for-all. Everything in the store is sold on consignment and it is run as an artist's cooperative, with volunteers keeping the store open six days a week. The person tending the shop is most likely a maker, the clothing on display is all one-of-a-kind, and the money from the sale goes primarily to the artist. It's a place where the well-made handmade object is paramount, an earnest attempt to bring to life the precepts of old-time Arts and Craftsman William Morris. Guiding all is the philosophy that each person makes an impact with their purchases, and that clothes should be made in a humanitarian environment. It is the hope of Tooya Deas, one of the acting directors of Art Fiend that this attitude will radiate outward with each visitor to the store, the inevitable conclusion to a bounteous community philosophy. This is like taking your kids to grandmother's, only better because of the structured day programs with little lessons on letters and numbers etc. drawings and singings, with warm attention on discipline and behavior. Great loving cozy home-like environment with focus on educating and training the kids. The owners and staff are very sweet, even misbehaving kids are treated with love and respect, and every child will be a better child after attending this daycare. They celebrate birthdays and have 'graduation' parties, give out photo prints of those special moments, with such detailed attention to everything that I simply don't know how do they manage all that. Very personal small place in this very impersonal world. I am so glad we found this daycare and that they were able to take our girls at that time. This experience remains very dear and special to our family, and we step by every once in a while to say Hi and THANK YOU!

Their employees are there for a long time (I remember one of them is more than 10 years), which means they like the place too. They sincerely treasure every child at this place. They also have a graduation ceremony for pre-k kids, in which they dance, it's kind of cute. Unfortunately, we moved, and miss this family care so much! My children still remember a lot of nice things there and tell me this is learned from Little Blossom. My older one is not an easy kid, but she was treated very well. She sometimes mentions Little blossom and says she misses Ms. Wendy, Ms. Luz. My son says the same thing. Ms. Cynthia and Ms. Jillian are very experienced educators. I learned from them as well. This gym addresses motor planning, eye hand coordination, sensory organizing, etc. while in the sensory room, children are working on activities of daily living, fine motor play, socialization, visual-motor development, and group activities.
