If there was a way to give it negative stars, then I surely would!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! BE AWARE! I don't normally write reviews, unless it's a great or horrible experience. In this case, it was beyond horrible. I had a terrible experience on the day of the event to start of, so I continued to emailed them a couple of days after to let them know in detail about our experience and NEVER got a response back. I then got an emailed to review our experience at the day of our tour and was honest about the whole experience being a terrible one. Of course they did not post it on their website, but why would they- it would take business away. Until that review, I finally got an email response. After reaching out and calling them to discuss this further, Drew Patterson, was by far the worst person to talk to. When attempting to explain to him what had happened, he shut me up several times and would not give me a chance to speak. Until I finally, of course angrily, demanded for him to let me speak. This is not how to you treat someone with customer service, nor do you tell them they are wrong. I could go on regarding the tour event but believe me, I thought Yelp will allow be to write such long review. With that said, AVOID GuideYou by all means. You will be wasting your time, money, and most importantly an experience that should be relaxing and fun! read more

Really poor communication. I tried for over two hours to get in touch with some questions before I purchased a tour. No one answered at any of the three numbers I called despite an advertisement saying they were open until 11. The automated system was a mess it kept trying to collect my number for call back, but did the number I dialed instead every single time. They never bothered to respond to the voicemail I left as well, and their sister site, baycityguide.com didn't respond to the help chat for over an hour. The only response I ever got were the automated ones. I don't know about in person but It's to the point where I'd warn against booking online. read more

Took the Alcatraz day tour and it went perfect. No issues ordering the tickets, responsive to the questions I had before going to SF. Easy and clear directions to pick up the tickets for the boat ride to Alcatraz. Problems getting tickets to the Rock, use guideyou. Don't be the people that were in line in front of me at Pier 33 trying to buy tickets the day of cause it isn't going to happen. read more

We were picked-up at our hotel, a big plus because we didn't rent a car. We had a great tour guide, he was also our driver. We took the Wine tour via limobus with the mimosa breakfast and lunch provided. We had a fantastic time! We loved Abe, our driver, and the limobus was so cool - black and chrome decor, with fruit/cheese/bagels/etc to go with the mimosas. We got to see beautiful countryside and stop at 4 great wineries. Our lunch was a spread to rival our Texas feasts, with so much food that, even as a vegetarian, I was very satisfied. We took our 14-year-old daughter with us, and she enjoyed it as well (water bottles are provided on the bus, and one winery gave her soda in a wine glass so she wouldn't feel left out). I had no problems booking the tour, and got email updates as well. Overall, I would definitely do this tour again, and use GuideYou to book it. read more

So glad we decided to do the hop on, hop off ticket. It is a great way to tour a very large city. We took the full tour to get the educational information on the City and area. Then we used the hop on, hop off feature to explore other areas in more detail. Saved a lot of money on parking and time driving around trying to find places to park. Never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a pick up. The night tour that came with the 48 hour pass was fantastic! We would definitely recommend this tour. read more

This tour was good. It was very informational and we went all over San Francisco however my wife and I we're quite disappointed to know that we were not going over the San Francisco bridge. Yeah, it might seem like a stupid drive over a big international orange colored bridge which might not seem like much BUT it would have been amazing to experience it. Not every city, town or state has an iconic bridge like San Francisco.... That would have been nice though. That drive would have made this an overall great tour and it would have earned my 5 stars. I'm sure there are much more cheaper tours that offer more stopping time (rather than 10-15 minutes) to explore the city as well as a drive over the bridge.... read more

Excellent Value, goes to all the right places, and places the BART does not go. You may have to wait for the next bus on busy days but they come regularly. Take a jacket and cap for the deck in case it's cool. Fisherman's Wharf staff need some customer service training and patience explaining how it works. They do not pick up at most hotels, contrary to their website info. Don't expect the staff to know where they pick up. Four (4) calls demonstrated this. One will say yes, the next will say no. read more

San Francisco Tour - #1 Deluxe City Tour This tour was absolutely the best thing we did in San Francisco! In 3 1/2 hours, we got a great tour with tons of information provided by our Guide (also driver). We were unable to walk the hills of S.F., so the bus provided the next best thing. We were picked up at a hotel (not the one where we were staying) which was just a short ride on the "F" Line. We were then taken to the tour's office where we joined other tour takers. Most folks were middle age to slightly older. The guide/driver was full of information and was very glad to share it. We also had four stops of 15 or 20 minutes to take pictures, do some brief exploring, go to the restroom, or get a quick bite to eat. We were given a choice of where we should be taken at the end, either to the point where we were originally picked up or a place on the tour that we wanted to explore further. Since we were on the afternoon tour, most people chose to go to dinner at Fisherman's Wharf. We asked to be dropped in China Town so we could explore and eat dinner. Unfortunately, we did not know where we were or which of literally thousands of restaurants we should choose. This was the only disappointment of the tour. The guide just told us to go down a side street and pick a place. After walking a considerable distance and being tired and not knowing what to do, we ended up eating in a Starbucks! Other than that, I highly recommend the tour. read more

Careful: They sell tickets they do not really have!!! We signed up and paid for the bus and Alcatraz combo. The morning of the trip, we taxied to the appointed place to find it closed. No one around, no on the phone. We called Guideyou, and they had no record of our trip, and couldn't help us. But they had charged my credit card. So we spent half a day of our trip trying to either get our tickets or a refund rather than seeing the city. If you want to enjoy your vacation, do yourself a favor and avoid these guys. read more

We purchased a tour through this company over Spring Break 2015 that included Alcatraz, Hop on/off tickets, night tour of SF, trolley to Sausalito, walking tours, Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum, Aquarium by the Bay, and a 1 hour bicycle rental. We were very happy with our purchase, even though we mainly bought it for the Alcatraz tickets. We ended up taking the night tour (wear warm coats!!), wax museum, aquarium, day-time bus tour around SF, and of course Alcatraz. We would have done more but we ran out of time. The kiosk to pick up your tickets is conveniently located across the street from Fisherman's Wharf and we had no trouble finding it. The staff were friendly and efficient and the buses ran like clock work. I found this to be a good value, and it did sort of push us to do things we may not have done otherwise. We thoroughly enjoyed all of the "touristy" things - that's why were there! Make sure you thoroughly read the paperwork they send so you know where to go to pick up tickets, the time the kiosk opens, the times the buses run and tours operate, etc. so you can make the best use of your time and there are no surprises. We would use this company again and we would recommend to our friends/family. read more

Four of us took the Deluxe City tour and really enjoyed it. The driver did a great job driving in the horrible traffic and the guide was very informative about the city and its history. The bus was very comfortable and we saw many beautiful and interesting sights. However, we would have loved a stop at Golden Gate Park, at least to see the Japanese Tea Garden. Unlike other reviewers, we enjoyed having both a driver and a tour guide, so each could concentrate on their respective roles. The only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars is because the price was more than the rate advertised in the brochure at our hotel. When I questioned this, the woman I booked with just said the price had gone up and we were already getting a discount, which made no sense to me. Also, the brochure said we would see the "painted ladies" which we couldn't do as tour buses are forbidden in that area now. I understand this, but think the company needs to update their brochure to reflect the change so customers won't be disappointed. Overall I would recommend the tour to anyone who wants to see the highlights of San Francisco in a short period of time. read more

The desk clerk at Parc55 gave us the GuideYou book, telling us it's the only guide book we would need for our weekend in SF. Indeed, she was correct. The first page of the GuideYou book recommended the BigBus 48-hour tour, which was great. That tour package had more perks and options for seeing the city than we could fit in the schedule. I enjoyed the city tour and the majority of the Muir woods tour. The drivers for both tours were friendly and knowledgeable. The views from Land's End were my favorite part of the city trip. My only issue was on the way back from Muir woods our bus began experiencing problems and eventually broke down. I understand that nobody plans for this, but the company could have handled the situation better in my opinion. I will add that they did respond promptly to my complaint and reimbursed me for the second trip. I would tour with them in the future. read more

We had a great experience taking the bus to Muir Woods. It dropped us off there and waited for 1 1/2 hrs and then took us to Sausalito and we took a ferry back to San Francisco. We were so happy not to have to drive on those scary twisty roads. Parking was also very limited at Muir Woods. The driver was informative and interesting to listen to.
