Horrible customer service. Also they will call you and not have anything to update the policy…read morequote. And then they lie and say I have the quote but there is no quote. They will call and waste your time

I would have given them a zero rating but that was not an option. My husband owned a truck that he…read morepaid $51,000 for five years ago. He is very particular about his vehicles and has taken exceedingly good care of this truck. It was beautiful, paid for, and only had 70,000 miles on it. A few weeks back a gentleman decided in a rush to pull out without looking both ways and totaled my husbands dream truck. While we are thankful no one was hurt it has just gone downhill from there. GEICO paid $32,600 to replace the vehicle. While that may seem like a lot of money we are finding that even a trashed, neglected truck with over a hundred thousand miles on it will be more than that once all the taxes and fees are added. We are completely frustrated and heartbroken; while we knew the truck was most likely irreplaceable, we assumed he could at least get something decent. After multiple attempts in texts and emails the adjuster, Jamie FINALLY contacted my husband to assure him the amount would be the most he could possibly pay out to replace the truck. The past week has been a crash course in what it really costs to buy a truck in today's market and trust me $32,600.00 is not even close to it. We are now looking at using another $10,000.00 of our own money and even then that will not come close to the options and shape of the truck he had. Beware insurance buyers if you plan to replace a totaled vehicle of any kind with insurance payout think again! One last thought...the GEICO commercials tout the team of people you have working for you are all there to help, our team was nowhere in site and could not be reached. In search of a new insurance company while also still searching for a truck.
