I was told that the bathroom that was opening next door from the corridor was all mine. However, the toilet was either used by someone, too, or it was not cleaned. - The "alarm call" advertised at the above website was not offered to me. - I could not find a hair-dryer. - The breakfast was fine. However, if it was not a lady suggesting what to eat and bringing them piece by piece, and I could see the choices I would probably have put together a nicer breakfast and would have had a little more food, too. - During the night my room was very hot. - I asked for wifi and I was given a code. - Despite all the minor problems listed above it was a good experience. I plan to check out other places in the area and eventually return. The source of guests of this B&B seems to be the people who have relatives in the nearby Beaumont Hospital.

The problem is the landlord. On my first day, He came knocking on my door at 11 pm waking me up, to tell me -In a very insulting way- that I had left the bathroom lights on. A bathroom that I was told it will be a private bathroom, but it wasn't. You can't ask the landlord to do anything for you. There is no wake up call, no wifi in your room. Concerning the location, it is far away from the city center, so if you are in Dublin for a vacation, it is going to be difficult for you to spend a long time going to the city center. You will spend so much money everyday to go to the city and coming back to the hostel. TO CONCLUDE: I WOULD RECOMMEND IT FOR SOMEONE I HATE.

The mattresses in our room were so soft and bouncy that neither of us slept well. The pillows and blankets felt cheap. The room had a musty odor and there was a loose piece of hardwood under the very old carpet that teeter totters like a see saw. Worst, it was unseasonably cold at night and the heater didn't work. The shower and bathroom was fine and really the only redeeming quality of our room. The rooms are situated up a flight and a half of narrow stairs. Not ideal for the infirm and be careful getting your heavy suitcase up there without hurting yourself. If you have a car, there's no where to park near the place. Breakfast was at best, okay. What they advertise as pancakes was a flat square crepe loaded with syrup, creme, and fruit. The latter which is the beast part. Otherwise, awful. The neighborhood itself was fine and a short walk from most major bus routes into Dublin. We will not stay at this BnB again. Nice owners, but the accommodations were sub par.

If you are going to the airport the next day then it'll be a short drive. The accommodations were very nice, the host was gracious and overall a great stay. I was comfortable and I slept well in the beds. The dining room is also very adorable. For those travelers who have a car it is ideal but without a car if you're visiting Dublin then I'd recommend staying closer to all the attractions.

Parking downtown is a hassle because the city isn't designed for cars. She greeted us most hospitably at the door. Wish I had been kinder but was totally exhausted by the one hour drive out of the city after a day in the archives. LA traffic is insane but Dublin rush hour is nuts! Was it truly an hour to go less than three miles? So, the room (number 4) is light and airy and one of the best beds I have slept in during our trip. Breakfast on the other hand--cooked to order every day. What do you like? She will prepare it. Excellent. But, wait. We had to do our laundry and our hostess even offered to drop it off and it was returned to our room by the time we got back from the city. She had great advise on bus routes and a bus fare card. I'm honestly really torn on the rating to assign here. For myself, if give it a 2-star, because I…read moreprobably wouldn't stay again give the choice, but there are enough OK things about ABC that I'll let others be the judge. First, I'll give the good - 1) decent location. It's about 2 miles from downtown, and it's sitting almost atop a city bus stop. 2) breakfast. ABC does a nice job with their hot breakfast. Eggs, sausage, bacon, eggs, tomatoes - all were quite tasty. 3) parking. Don't ever drive into Dublin proper, but if you picked up a car on arrival, it is fabulous to have dedicated parking. Now the issues - 1) location. The flip side here is that it's pretty loud. I'll strongly recommend ear plugs. 2) uncomfortable bed. This was the real killer for me. I was there three nights, and I wouldn't say that any of the nights were restful. The hard mattress and the flat pillows did me no favors at all. To me it made for a really mixed time, but if your back is better than mine, you may feel much better about a visit here.

The room initially looked very cute and inviting, the bathroom was new, fresh linens, ect... The bed though was enough to debunk that... I was horribly uncomfortable. Reason, not only are they hard as a rock, but the springs are sticking up through the mattress, Inkeeper: please resolve this. Aside from not having very comfortable beds, you can also hear everything going on upstairs/downstairs.. this i didnt mind too much, but the beds were the red flag. If the beds get fixed, this place will be great.
