I found it interesting that he quoted less because the work involved in the maintenance was easier to perform on my particular vehicle, although he did quote higher on the Alignment than most places I called, I though he was upfront and honest so I gave it a try...Glad I did! Nick was knowledgeable and asked about my reason for the Alignment, I left the car with him so that he could look it over when he had a chance (I did not make an appointment). He called back the next day, work all done, no surprises and his alignment included all the adjustments he made including the one to the rear wheel which they always ask for more. I'm always skeptical and pretty much don't trust anyone but I'm glad I met Nick and found someone that restores my faith in auto repair! I will go back and support him in his new business, hopefully he keeps it up as this will set him apart from the rest of the shops in Bolton.

I brought my Van in for repairs and Safety check in early March. It took 3 weeks for him to even check my van for what it needed. I had to visit his shop several times to ask when he would get to my vehicle because he won't answer his phone if he knows you are calling. The amount of excuses I received was simply comical. Here are some of his best hits: "I am alone here today"...."I only have one mechanic here today" ...."I have a training course I need to attend"..."I have to change an engine today"..."I have to change a transmission today" ..."summer tire change too busy"..."winter tire change too busy"..." I have no parking space for you van"..."come back tomorrow " and so many more! Finally he did some repairs and safety but the work was not done right and didn't address issues we discussed in detail. Brakes are part of a Safety Certificate check so why does my vehicle not break properly? Brakes are not smooth and feel bumpy. Rear brakes are overheating so much you can smell burnt rubber from the tires! Work done on my Air Conditioning worked for one trip! When I brought it back I was told I would need to change my entire AC system. I spent $600 on the AC compressor that I ordered plus labour. In all I spent 1,700 dollars and still need to take my van elsewhere to repair the faulty work done by Alfonso at Auto Block. Please do yourself a favor and stay far away from this shop where all you will receive is poor work and excuses.

Unfortunately, It has reached a point where I needed it fixed as my rear lights/brake lights and defrost had stopped working rendering the car not driveable due to safety. Since my usual repair shop was not able to look at prior and without appointment I had to find another place fast. I thought a body shop might be a better choice for this as they deal with this type of repairs when a car is involved in an accident. I googled a few places and ultimately, I took a chance on this place. Called, spoke with Tony. He seemed very nice, down to earth and confident that he could help, their hourly rate was reasonable and off I went. Walking in, the place smelled of smoke and was quite dirty and old looking, the shop looked in disarray and dingy. Again,Tony came off as helpful and reassured me that they would not disappoint. I was desperate and figured, what have I got to loose. Well, let me say that I am quite happy with this place. The repairs were done in a reasonable amount of time and the cost was more than fair. Tony explained why it happened, what they did and how he was able to correct the issues and reroute the wires to avoid it from happening again. When it comes to this place, you can't judge this place by its cover. The repairs were done correctly, cost of the service was fair and they were upfront and honest. I would recommend giving Tony a call for any light body repairs or straight forward mechanical repairs including electrical repairs. They don't do any paint detailing and I don't know how they do with electronic repairs such as check engine stuff, but so far so good.

Had a car accident about a month ago, the shop is preferred with TD Monnex Insurance, the service was brutal, communication was virtually non-existent - polar opposite of prev mgmt. Gave me my car back with no power steering and a battery that died immediately the next day due to their screw up. No accountability, no customer service, no empathy. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!! Guess mgmt changes make all the diff!
