We put down a $500 deposit that same day. For what ever reason, trying to get a receipt was very difficult but days later I finally got one. I would call every so often and ask when we could have the repair done, and no one could tell us even what month to expect them to come out. One evening we received a phone call from someone in the company at approx 9 at night. This individual went on to brag about the quality of their fences and swore up and down they would call us during business hours the next day to give us an accurate window when to expect them. This person slurred through their words and would not let us get off the phone. After 10 minutes of "around and around" we finally were able to get off the phone. We waited around all day and never received a call. The following business day I called the office and talked to the secretary about the late night phone call, and she profusely apologized and insisted she would call me back that day and let me know when our fence would get fixed. She didn't call back. The following business day I went in to get a refund. I very politely asked for the refund and explained my experience with the company and expressed my disappointment. The individual who called late at night the previous week was there in office and tried to intimidate me into not getting a refund. The person lied about the phone call, and again went on and on about how they were the best in town ect. I just wanted my refund. Tensions begin to rise and the intimidating body posture and language continued. Finally I escaped with my refund, and a headache. The long and the short of this story is that this company held onto a large chunk of my money for a month and a half for no good reason. I should have charged interest after all that headache.
