DO NOT USE. They are careless with your SSN and sensitive info, which is ironic given their company name, Guardian. Not only did their employee, Madelyn Thompson, incorrectly enter one of our email addresses, but she also "accidentally" attached a document containing our SSNs and sent it to our realtor. NONE of their documents sent in the email were encrypted in any way. They are merely sent as email attachments. A proper company would use a third party secured medium to send sensitive documents, but not them. If they are too cheap to pay for a third party to handle sensitive documents, why not do the bare minimum and encrypt the PDF documents? It's FREE. When confronted, the owner responded by blaming the lender by saying "Unfortunately, it happened to be the only document in our entire file that contains your SS# - which we do not require or need - IMO lenders should not be sending that piece of data to the title company for a purchase transaction". I sent that to the lender asking if that is true and was told in their experience of handling over 1 billion dollars in loans with various title companies, they have NEVER heard of a title company NOT requiring the SSN. The title company is supposed to ensure you are who you say you are. How would they do that without your SSN? Absolutely absurd how they handle your info and thanks to them, we get to lock our SSNs. read more
