My friend and I each had two pupusas and split a side of plantains (platanos) for lunch. Probably didn't need all that food, but I ate every bite. Super tasty! Was confused for a bit since it looked like a storage spot now. So just go to the enterance next to it. It's a small little mart and there's a doorway that leads to the sit down section. Guess they are use to people who've been there and people who know what they want. Asked me right off the bat what I wanted to order when there's no menu of any sort anywhere. I ordered three pupusas: revueltas, pollo con queso, and chorizo con queso to go. Was told 30-45 mins, got it in 30. Came with a baggie of their slaw and dip. Delicious, all three of them. To be honest, not entirely sure what I put on my tacos since nothing was labeled, but my tacos were tasty, and the salsa was spicy. The carne asada was flavorful and tender, and the corn tortillas were nice & warm. I also got the horchata, which came in a big cup. It was a delight, sweet & strong with cinnamon. And my cup was 90% horchata, 10% ice, the perfect drink:ice ratio in my opinion. The service was friendly and quick. My only complaint is that, like other reviews pointed out, there were no prices listed on the menu. I think my tacos were around 14 or 15 bucks, which I would normally consider expensive, but La Plaza didn't skimp on the meat, so I would be okay paying that again.

The place itself is tucked away into Lakewood and offers a great atmosphere with an indoor/outdoor flow. The ambiance is nice, they have good music playing in the background not too loud and not too quiet. We went in the evening, so all the lights were turned on which made the experience enjoyable. All the food was really flavorful, and they had a ton of options for cocktails. The complimentary sauces are phenomenal and definitely take the dishes to the next level! Unfortunately, we had to wait over an hour for our food to come out and despite being told appetizers would be quick they took awhile. Server was kind and apologetic and explained they had a new training chef although it felt others around us were getting their food. I do wish they would have given us a complimentary appetizer or made one free of charge as the wait total was almost 1.5 hours. Overall, this place is a really great stop and I'm glad to have it nearby. I have heard the service and speed is usually efficient so maybe this was just a one night thing. Definitely stop in as they have a large menu with bold flavor and a great atmosphere.
