And good luck if they drained tour insurance already for this "whole appointment evaluation" 2) they will look for all ways to drain your insurance and of course the first appointment your time will be wasted because they will say "this is only evaluation" so expect to take your annual PTO off for their highness to actually get any clean up done! Maybe they shouldnt do business My story: I requested an appointment for cleaning ( or cavities shall they find ) they told me uh oh we are going to take the entire first appointment for just evaluation and shall you need anything you will need another appointment. I said B.S - then i said ok.. what is your available times for a second appointment because for sure i will need at least cleaning/deep cleaning. She was booked for the rest of the year and found me 1-2 appointments that absolutely dont work with my schedule. So i requested to cancel the first appointment because whats the point! That was more than 40 hours in advance. They kept saying cancellation fee $60 . Now they keep sending me the statement of $60 despite the fact thst they know!!! They are the ones that cant find any available appointments for their clients. Taking my business out of this place and fighting the $60 because if they were any respectful place they would have waived it instead of begging for a $60. Stay away. Also they do want to find all reasons to drain the hell out of your insurance and more !

Sure, some work will be expensive and it's to be expected but why do other dentists hand you a bill before work is even done? 10 out of 10 with Dr. Kint. I have a fear of the dentist and of needles in general, but the team there was patient, efficient, explained enough to put me at ease, and checked in with me regularly. I really appreciate the approach to care they took. The only reason for 4 vs. 5 stars is that it does seem like they are training a new front desk personnel (which will help in the long run!) but does seem to create a short backup in the front and require some reconfirmation of care with the team and me a few times before finalizing the next appointments. At 81, my teeth are still my own and Dr. Tanaka will not recommend anything that is the "easy way out." He recommends what is best for your dental health and appearance.

Seeing that I was in pain (those things dig into the upper palette), the doctor stepped in and used bite wings, standing directly next to the x-ray machine while he gave orders to the hygienist to operate the x-ray machine. No problem for me, but it seems weird for the doctor to expose himself to x-rays like that on a daily basis. I at least had the lead bib; the doctor had no protection and was standing right next to the x-ray. Onto the cleaning, which didn't amount to much. They didn't clean my teeth. The hygienist polished them, but did nothing about tartar. No scraping, which I'm accustomed to at all my dental visits. The doctor told me that I "didn't have plaque" which seems suspicious to me, as I hadn't seen a dentist in about 8 months at that point. I *always* have tartar that needs to be scraped off, and my understanding is that tartar is what plaque becomes. I do take care of my teeth but tartar has always been a problem for me. The hygienist seemed new to the job and the doctor was extremely dismissive of my medical condition which is why I'm on Medi-Cal. They scheduled me for a full-cost cleaning for 6 months later, which I'm about to cancel because I simply don't trust this place. Again, maybe it's because I'm on Medi-Cal. If you've got money, your experience may be different.

So very convenient. I do not use this practice: while the office is well run, the cleanings are excellent and the location is very convenient - their intake forms, all nine of them are on a tablet in their office and/or the link is sent to your phone. For my husband, we had to fill out the forms 5+ times because the system keeps glitching and everything you filled out previously doesn't get saved. The forms cannot be filled out on paper and they literally cannot start treatment like take a x-ray without all the forms being filled out. It's a nightmare if you are a new patient getting registered.
