Rob replaced missing wood on my patio cover posts. I was told that when he was done I wouldn't be…read moreable to tell the difference between the two woods. Unfortunately the grains on the two woods could not be more different. The worst part though was the disaster he left my backyard. He cut the wood in my backyard without covering anything. He says he tried to clean up but it was too hot. By his own admission he set up on my brand new patio table with no protection and scratched it, and did not use a drop cloth and dripped paint on my new concrete deck. I was left with rusted metal chips (from the old posts) and sludge (from "trying" to hose down) from one end of my yard to the other. It took us 2.5 hours to clean up.

I preferred to hire someone local rather than corporate but, since I had a smaller job, I received a lot of "not worth my time" responses from other companies. Robert was the first who matched/beat the Ikea quote and I honestly think he did a better job than an installer who is loyal to Ikea rather than the customer. Notably, the Ikea planner added several panels that were not needed to my order but Robert identified the extra pieces so I could take them back for a refund. Saved me almost $200! Everything installed is level and secure and Robert asked questions along the way to make sure that everything was installed the way I wanted it. I plan to call him for all future Ikea installs and recommend him to anyone who asks.
