It is packed with all sorts of different items and for me is more reminiscent of what I'm used to in a grocery store (from the USA). Some of the other lower cost grocery stores have rotating items so you might not find some things in stock but you will probably find most everything you are looking for here. Do make sure to weight and print out a UPC code for your fruits and vegetables before going to the cash register (which I actually have not done at any other grocery store in Heidelberg yet).

When you walk in the first thing you'll notice is how cramped it is. Imagine a bodega in New York City, but then imagine they cramp two bodegas into the space of one and that's how tight this place is. There is definitely a lot of food, snacks, etc. to choose from but that's about where the positives stop. After hunting for some water we had a hard time even maneuvering back through to the cold case because it was so tight with people. Overall we got what we came for, but it was not a pleasant experience, and it was pretty dirty overall too. This place exists for convenience and convenience alone. If you aren't in need of something it might be worth the wait to find something easier to navigate.

Second, it has a pretty amazing produce section. and because so many people buy produce here the turn over his high. Third, the location can't be beat! The store is bright & clean. And you can find almost everything. They also have a bottle recycle machine which allows you to get the cash or instantly donate your refund to a good cause. Brilliant idea! Good places to eat once you've picked up your groceries: a nice park for children directly across the street; Philosopher's Way - just a short walk up a steep hill!; Neckar river - just a few blocks away.
