They are there to enhance your experience and make musicians of any level feel comfortable, hell, Mark may even sit in with you if you ask nicely! Since I don't currently have a drum kit at home, the convenience of the use of four different kits is a real treat. Another great thing about 3M is the culture they have created. I have met so many passionate, like-minded musicians who love to jam, so I am happy to make 3M part of my regular week. If you are a local musician and haven't visited 3M Studios, you're missing out!

We traveled from Los Angeles to shoot with a local talent at Level One 11. The studio staff was…read moresuper accommodating and communicative. We went in with a huge shot list and a tight schedule so I began conversations ahead of time in regards to their tech packets which at the time were nonexistent. As a Lighting Programmer going into studios with a rig it's helpful for me to know details such as lighting fixtures, how many, where, their control system, patch, etc. especially with little prep/load-in time. This wasn't available but they did their best to provide as much information within their knowledge ahead of time which was appreciated. All in all the shoot went well and had the rig mapped out and under my control within an hour.

I frequent many businesses in the Coachella Valley and often leave reviews about them. Both good…read moreand bad. I took my guitar to Repair Land after another local musician told me it was the only place in the desert that worked on guitars. I later learned that wasn't true. When I walked into the shop, it appeared more like a personal living space than a professional repair facility. I left my guitar for service and, when I picked it up, I was disappointed to find that very little seemed to have been done. The issues I brought it in for were largely unchanged, and I felt that the quality of the work did not justify the cost or effort. After that experience, I attended the guitar festival on Miles Avenue in Indio and spoke with several musicians and vendors. To my surprise, a number of people I spoke with did not recommend Repair Land and shared their own negative opinions and experiences regarding the business. Because the owner has publicly claimed to work on a very large number of instruments each month, some of us became curious about the level of activity at the shop. A vehicle equipped with a camera was parked on the public street nearby over several days, and based on what was observed during that time, there appeared to be very little customer traffic coming and going. Obviously, everyone can draw their own conclusions, but between my personal experience, the feedback I heard from other musicians at the guitar show, and what I observed afterward, I would not trust this shop with another instrument. I would strongly encourage musicians to explore other repair options in the Coachella Valley before making a decision.

My client had made a last minute request and I didn't have the lens needed with me. Thankfully I was able to reach Taylor and he met me at his studio. Such a pleasure doing business with them!
