The service was incredible - we were (very sadly) in a bit of a rush to make it to a concert and the server accommodated us beautifully. The meat and cheese plate was stunning and the wines were so good and all local to Austria. The owner clearly knows what he is doing and cares deeply for Austrian wines. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Though we did not order this and there was a charge on our bill it was so worth it because it was good quality and a good portion for two. He was friendly and he happily checked on us during our meal asking if our dinner was okay and if we needed anything (a rarity in Vienna!!) We hope to return before we leave Vienna.

They didn't tell us anything about service charge or something. Not even mentioned about it on the menu or on the bill. My friend even gave her tips already. Just feel like she stole my money with a really bad service. She didn't care about the guests, nothing!!! The food was also bad. Wasn't worth to give it a shot. Terrible.

The ambiance is cozy low-key pub vibe with circular booth seatings and dim yellow light. They have all the classic dishes like beef goulash, tafelspitz, kaiserschmarrn, Wiener schnitzel (both veal or pork), sausages, etc. It was busy and we went at 7pm so definitely make a reservation in advance. All the dishes we got were delicious. The only thing I would not recommend is the Sachertorte. It was our first time trying one and the cake was too dry and too sweet for my taste.

While here on a business trip to Wien (Vienna), a colleague suggested this restaurant. He described…read moreit as a hidden gem off the beaten path. What an accurate description! It's roughly a 7 minute walk from the Pilgram-gasse stop on the U4 green line. It's definitely in a more residential area. We arrived around 730p and we're both greeted and seated quite immediately. I ordered a wine cocktail that had Muscato and grapes. It was just how I like it, sweet lol. Our server also brought out fresh and warm bread. It was served with this pink colored cream. The consistency resembled a whipped cream cheese. Very light and slightly sweet. I ordered the (Gebratene Entenbrust mit Waldpilz-Trüffel-Risotto, Parmesan, Rote - Bete - Sauce), which is a Roasted Duck, Wild Mushroom, Truffle and Parm Risotto, and a beet sauce. The duck was cooked and seasoned well, though it was close to being overdone. The risotto was to die for! I ate every single thing on the plate, including the sauce. I really wish I had ordered dessert because they had so many options; however, I felt sufficiently satisfied/full so I didn't order any. My colleagues ordered the salmon cream soup (I dipped a piece of bread in it and it was delectable! Very balanced curry flavor), the Norwegian salmon, and the braised beef cheeks. Both of them enjoyed their meal and their Hungarian wines! I'll definitely add this to my list of restaurants to visit each time I return to Vienna.

I got the duck as that's what everyone recommended. It's solid, not amazing, but solid. Check out the truffle side order I got (in the pic)! That was awesome. I've never seen actual truffle and he carved some pieces right on my duck which totally made it taste better. The beef tartare I got for the app was also solid though the soup was just ok. Recommended a great glass of Austrian wine that was full-bodied and left me a bit tipsy which I was really surprised at. Dessert was typical. Sat outside also which was really nice in their courtyard.
