An ideal day for me is to stop here for breakfast and pop over to the beach! Delicious lattes (i just tried the key lime coco) and food. The beet sandwich was to die for and had plenty of thick beets, goat cheese, pistachios and perhaps pesto? My daughter also loved it. Don't know when they added this, but there's a lovely seating area to the right that's perfect for kids with a little toy food truck and astroturf. Clean bathrooms, friendly staff, terrible parking (as is most of Indian Rocks Beach). Went there at 1:20pm....they close at 3 pm...I was looking for the breakfast sandwich that was on the menu, and was then told they stop making eggs at 1pm...Nowhere on the menu does it state this, and no one would ever think that a breakfast/brunch place would stop serving eggs 2 hours before close....Very poor service with no courtesy for their customers. read more

The avocado toast was honestly some of the best I've ever had: thick sourdough toast piled high with freshly mashed avocado, pickled red onion, feta, crunchy corn nuts, and radish. Total flavor explosion. We also grabbed the Key lime muffin, which was buttery and soft with a perfect dollop of tangy key lime filling on top. We didn't but came for lunch instead. Lunch was the same. Line forms, or maybe never stops (lol), early. We waited about 20 min to order and another 20 to get food. It was well worth the wait. We enjoyed a round of smash burgers with garlic aioli sauce. Out if they world good!! We also shared a Kale Cesar salad. It was so fresh and delicious. Definitely check this place out. Come feel all the surfer vibes at this cafe across the street from Indian Rocks Beach. So cute, so fun! The workers were so sweet and there's many options to choose from. They have an adorable section of merch as well which was tempting. I thought the coffee was good but not super strong. Maybe it was just the one I got, though. They do also have food here so you can get a good lunch or other and I'll definitely be back to try that. Such a great place for a morning breakfast and coffee! Gluten free chocolate chip muffin was amazing and great egg sandwich for my dad! We were outside maybe 10-12 people back, but only took about 15 minutes to get inside to order and get our coffee and breakfast. Inside was great and chill vibes. I came here 3 times out of the 4 days I was staying & I really should have made it 4/4. I got the BLT w/ avocado and I think about that sandwich at least once a week now... it was buttery and crunchy and the bacon was actual bacon not the kind they use in fast food. I also had the burrito one day & shared it but still was satisfied. Overall the experience at Grove met expectations. The vibe is cute (albeit loud when busy!) and on the weekends expect a line out the door. It's a quintessential modern Florida beach cafe. The coffees were good and relatively priced well. We ordered the toasted coconut latte, although I'm not a fan of having chew eat actual coconut in my coffee. We ordered the breakfast burrito and the bacon egg and cheese sandwich. The flavors were pretty decent and met expectations, but the value is a reach. Both were about 30-40% more expensive than I would expect at a beach breakfast cafe, given the size of the portions. I'd recommend don't charge $2 more for bacon in a $15 burrito, and make sure the portions are reasonable to the prices. The prices make you feel as though you may actually be in Hawaii. Overall flavors are good, vibe is good, value is hard to find and would keep me from coming back often. read more

What a great find. Some friends told us about their visit and we went to check it out and were blown away by the food. This place rocks so get there early. We went on a Sunday morning and it was rocking. There was a long line but it went really quick and the staff seemed undaunted by the crowd and were super friendly. Wow, I absolutely love grove surf cafe. I was going to the beach and decided to stop by for a coffee and sandwich. While a lot of their menu items sound delicious, I opted for their pesto grilled cheese. It was not a boring grilled cheese, they add hot honey, pesto, the bread is Parmesan crusted, and it was sprinkled with chives and sea salt. So much good flavor, and was very happy with my decision. When we arrived, the place was filled with a line out the door--a great sign. I was excited to grab a refreshing drink before heading to the beach. The gingerbread latte was a seasonal drink and it was tasty, though I felt that the gingerbread flavor was pretty subtle. I loved that it came with a little gingerbread cookie on the side, which was a very nice touch! The ambiance is adorable with a decent amount of seats both inside and outside, and it's right across from the beach so it's in a very cute area. Great funky, fun atmosphere. All in all quick service and adequate seating, especially considering the line in the morning. Coffee was delicious. I will say I was a bigger fan of their lunch items than I was the breakfast. That said, the zucchini bread was delicious. The hash browns were overly salty and I didn't particularly love the eggs but I prefer over hard scrambled eggs and these were definitely soft set. Parking was basically non existent in the morning, so walk or make plans to park a couple of blocks away. The OG Grove location is on the opposite end of Gulf Blvd - a surf shop / coffee shop, whereas this is way more food + coffee focused with a small merchandise area. Grove does coastal cafe right. It's beautiful inside and out, with a lot more patio seating than expected. I came for lunch and ordered the toasted coconut latte iced and the chicken caesar wrap. The wrap came with a pickle spear and some kettle chips. First, the latte. I love coconut coffees - this was a great one! Definitely sweet but not too sweet. Next time, I'd do it without the coconut bits since I didn't like getting those up the straw. I'd also love to try their other drink offerings, like the banana phone (more of a refresher, like banana/club soda) and their piña collatte. So many fun tropical options that scrreeeammm "I live where you vacation" hahaha. Now, the real showstopper of my visit. THE WRAP. Never have I ever met a chicken caesar wrap that made my eyes pop out of my head, but this thing was perfect. Service was very nice overall but particularly so when ordering at the register...lovely individual who truly understands customer service. 5 stars here. To be fair, the coffee is 5 star also. I would return for a coffee and possibly a sweet from the cookie / pastry case. I wish I had taken a pic of the case as the items within were beautifully decorated....large passion fruit sugar cookies, large sea salt chocolate chip cookies, generous slabs of banana and zucchini breads. Too much to mention - presentation is 5 star. BACON, EGG and CHEESE on BRIOCHE - good quality Brioche but sadly, this sandwich fell short as it's pretty much one note. Basically a buttery grilled but super soft sweet bun with super soft eggs and cheese plus a small amount of bacon. What I'm describing is a mushy sandwich with no contrasting texture. And because your only option is premixed eggs (which may be powdered) it's far less exciting than when you can choose your own style of egg. The bacon is just ok and again since there's such a small amount of it, the flavor doesn't come through. 3 stars. BLT - the best part of this sandwich was the sourdough bread (good sourdough is hard to find but this bread is legit) Otherwise 2 slices of tomato, two pieces of lettuce, mushy avocado which I believe was premade store bought guacamole....you know what I mean (was slimy and a bit too mushy) maybe two or three slices of very thin bacon plus mayo spread of some sort. The essence of a BLT is the bacon.....which I could barely see let alone taste. 3 stars. HASH BROWNS - frozen, out of a bag with too much onion salt added...sprinkle of chives.....no flavor. 1 star. ZUCCHINI BREAD- nice presentation before I cut into it. It was decent but I won't crave it. It would be great if they cracked fresh eggs to order etc but my strong feeling is that everything is outsourced and very little chef like cooking goes on. read more
