We got several quotes and ultimately chose American Waterworks based on a recommendation from a family friend. Their estimate was in line with others we received who also offered transferrable lifetime warranties. I wish I'd gone with another company. First hiccup was that they didn't bring anywhere near enough pipe to move the discharge line to the location we had discussed. A phone call to the sales rep resolved that the day the work was being done. Second hiccup we discovered was that they had cut stair supports from our basement floor, left them dangling from the stairs, and put in an access point for the system under the stairs so we couldn't rebuild the supports ourselves. Kenny came out and did rebuild the cut part of the supports and moved the access point. Third hiccup was that they had left our old discharge pipe connected through the house, even though they'd cracked it, so water was leaking immediately outside the house. Kenny also fixed this. Fourth hiccup... they're coming for the annual maintenance check next month and we've just turned on our sprinklers, only to discover that they severed our irrigation line. Based on the fact that they buried the discharge line right on top of it, there's no way they didn't know they'd cut it. We cannot fix this ourselves as we can't access the entirety of the damage with their discharge line being where it is. No one works on the weekends to report the issue so I left two voicemails on Saturday. The first when I suspected they'd damaged the line and the second after I dug to investigate. I'll update my review when they've fixed the damage they caused. We're hoping for a timely repair as the city is digging up our boulevard this week and we can't locate the final sprinkler head due to the lack of water pressure in our sprinkler line. I hired Ruben's Concrete LLC for a residential concrete project in the Twin Cities area during…read morespring 2025. The job included a new driveway and an extended parking area. While the initial pour looked fine, within just a few days, I noticed several concerning cracks forming throughout the slab--some extended beyond control joints, reached the slab edges, and appeared at transitions between sections. I contacted the contractor and shared photos of the damage. To his credit, he responded promptly and visited the site. During that visit (which I documented), he acknowledged the cracking, pointed out that the control joints were not fully cut to the edges, and committed to returning to make repairs. He explained the plan would involve cutting out damaged areas, installing rebar, and repouring the affected sections. Unfortunately, despite my follow-ups, the repairs never happened. After weeks of silence, he responded but shifted blame to the materials used--specifically the size of rebar--claiming he had advised against it. This wasn't consistent with earlier conversations or the role of a licensed contractor responsible for determining proper construction methods. Later, he tentatively agreed to a date for repairs, but when I sent a written outline of the scope, he refused to proceed, claiming there was no agreement. My final attempts to resolve the issue professionally went unanswered. To date: No repairs have been completed The contractor has denied responsibility A written warranty has not been honored This experience has been frustrating and disappointing. I would encourage anyone considering this company to document everything carefully and be cautious before moving forward.

I agreed to have him and his guys take care of the two bricks. Preston had his guys remove the old bricks, before he had any idea if they were going to be able to obtain proper replacement bricks. Well, unfortunately for me the only replacements they could find were paver bricks, not meant for installing on walls ,used in creating walkways. Now I have to hire a REAL masonry / brick laying company to REDO the work Preston and his guys did. Extremely unhappy! Save yourself time and money, pass on EMC Concrete.
