I was able to book an apt at that other building just this week. I really appreciated her help.

Amazing end-to-end relocation service…read more We began our relocation in November 2019 shortly after my wife and I decided to relocate from Seattle to London. London Relocation had very positive reviews all-around and we have a very good first impression. The team was there to help from the initial intake until well-after we moved into our home. The company has a defined process with in-depth housing requirements to ensure they find the right homes, neighborhood and school district that would suit us the best. They searched and brought back a large (25-35) list of properties meant to give them better insight on our preferences. With all of this being done virtually, they took great care in returning a final list of properties, each one they toured before presenting to us. We short-listed about 5-7 homes and Shanti conducted detailed video tours of each place. They weren't pushy and didn't rush us to decide. On a few occasions, they slowed-us down to ensure we chose the right place. They went back to specific properties to conduct follow-up virtual tours. They made it very easy and helped with handling all the negotiations. It seems they have relationships with, or know, a majority of the letting companies in London. After finding "the one" house in Richmond we truly couldn't pass-up, they helped put an offer together, gave guidance on how much to offer based on the market and made it happen. We ended up choosing the house in Southwest London with all criteria being met, totally exceeding our expectations. They handled the check-in process and while we had to address a few unforeseeable maintenance issues with the property, they made it very easy, working on our behalf with the letting agent, to ensure all post move-in items were addressed to our satisfaction. I'd recommend London Relocation, especially those relocating with family and/or kids. They worked diligently on our behalf to ensure all our needs were met and that we were 100% satisfied. -The Rankin Family

The main issue with the building is that things break easily and constantly because it is an old building. Otherwise the location is unbelievable. There is a Starbucks literally downstairs and a Sainsbury right across the street. The tube is just a couple of blocks away and it is a very safe area. There is a man always on call who fixes things around the building. Our fuses consistently blow which is weird and annoying. We've had to have many things fixed in just over a month of living here. A huge annoying is the washing machines downstairs. First of all, there is only two of them. Second of all, they cost FOUR POUNDS!! How is that possible? It's a ridiculously high price. And the driers suck, one cycle is never enough. Marc refuses to fix the broken washing machines in Flat number 25 which students want to use communally, which is very annoying.

I stayed at the Hampden House for 12 weeks and not once did I have a single problem that was not resolved. Before I go about the amazing location of Hapmden House, let me first talk more about the flat. The interior of the flat has been maintained to keep its original shabby chic décor; bathroom and kitchen has been kept in good shape, living room and dinning room are very spacious, all the utensils and utilities you can think of are available, new fridge and washer/dryer--the apartment also came equipped with washing soap, toilet paper, and towels! The place has a very warm homey feeling and you never felt weird like you would in more metal/concrete skyscraper-esque buildings. Part of our lease agreement was to have our flat serviced once a week and the cleaning staff has done a great job! My only problem with the flat would probably be the carpet--it was a little worn out to be honest. Now, about the management, the property manager, Marc, is such a great guy! He is always on top of things and manages to get problems fixed and fast. Micah, who lives on premises and works with Marc, is the most amazing person! I've been locked out, locked in, broken doors, dropped things on other peoples balconies, you name it, he has managed to handle it all! Location wise is probably Hampden House greatest asset! It is literally a 5-minute walk from everything important--there is a Sainsbury, Tesco 5 minutes away. Waitrose is a 10-minute walk from the flat, Oxford Street is under a 10 minute walk, there are two tube stations all 5-8 minute walk (Regent's Park and Great Portland Street Station), and for those Starbucks lovers, there is a Starbucks right next to the flat! I definitely recommend Hamdpen House to anyone looking for a warm, cosy, winning let experience! Fatima Bukhamseen, 2012

Cheval Residences - Cheval Calico House

Cheval Residences, Knightsbridge: 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath…read more My London trip was originally for myself and my partner but when a friend of ours decided to join us, it became a difficult and expensive proposition looking for 2 rooms in the same hotel. We err on the side of luxury so we're considering the Lanesborough, Mandarin Oriental and the like but 2 rooms was going to cost a fortune. Then I discovered Cheval by accident on Trip Advisor. Even after looking at the pictures and viewing the floor plans for each of the apartments, I still wasn't sure what to expect. The Cheval Knightsbridge location is interesting because the main office is essentially a small room off a side street about a 3 minute walk to the apartments themselves. We were greeted by a very polite gentleman who ran through the paperwork. We had arrived about 4 hours early and since I had inquired a month earlier, I was not expecting to be allowed early check in. So I was very pleasantly surprised when he called the housekeeper and we were let in immediately. Just down the road and off another alley, the apartment building is 3 levels and unassuming. I had chosen what I thought was a 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment and this was located on the basement level down a flight of stairs. Upon entry, we were taken aback at the sheer size and luxury of our home away from home. The apartment features a large living area with booth seating around a dining room table, a comfortable couch, a fully-stocked kitchen with every gadget you'd have at home (if not more), a television and cute decor that really adds to a homey feeling - including even a cuckoo clock! The second bedroom was across the hall from the living area - spacious with a huge bath and two double beds pushed together for one large bed - you can request for the beds to be separated and you sleep an additional person. Our friend would be so happy. At the end of the hall was the master, a large room with enjoined bathroom, queen sized bed, writing desk and enough closet space for the queen. There was more closet space in the hallway and, Lo and behold, a third bathroom in the laundry room which had a washer and dryer. Upon further investigation of our digs, we discovered the housekeeper had provided the trappings of breakfast - butter, eggs, milk, juice - and tea and Nespresso coffee. What a comfort to have such familiariarities. And the gifts continued in various manifestations every day after the housekeeper left - chocolate, coffee, biscuits, a candle for souvenir, even plastic bags for airport security. After a whirlwind four days in London, our stay with Cheval was truly a highlight of our trip. The comfort and conveniences it offered, the friendliness of the staff and the location in Knightsbridge next to restaurants, shopping and all manner of public transport truly made our trip great. Should you decide to stay with Cheval - Knightsbridge or any other location - I have no doubt you will have as great a stay as I did.
