I went to a handful of "master barbers" throughout the Dallas area which didn't really "cut it" (pun intended). I scheduled my appointment with Tui and showed her a picture of the cut I wanted. She asked a couple of questions about my hairstyle and she started cutting my hair. End result was fantastic! Tui is not only amazing barber, but also an amazing person. My two boys and I have been getting haircuts at Beard & Bristle for over three years now. Tui is family to us.

My three boys revived some bad hair cut last time and I had to let their hair go a little wild and grow it longer in order for them to get a chance for a decent hair cut. These guys look at them. And since my boys all have different head size, face shape and even hair texture (blame my husbands side!). They all have them the perfect hair cut for each boy. I could not be happier with the outcome!! Totally worth the money. Kids hair cut is 25$. If you wonder is it worth. Yes mommy and daddy it is worth it! They take walk ins but I highly recommend to make an appointment via phone. 5 stars all the way!

I am new to Texas and chose this place. I was recommended to go here. I scheduled an appointment…read morefor Saturday at 11:45AM. I arrived at 11:30AM and did not receive service until 12:25PM. The barber (Omar) apologized. I showed him a picture of what I wanted for my son's haircut (11yrs.) and informed him that we have picture day on Monday. I am not sure if I did not use the correct terminology (low cut fade), however that is not what we received. I was not pleased with the haircut. I paid him, tipped then left. School photos were scheduled for the following Monday. Maybe another barber would have been best. He did not trim anything off the top or shape the hair just a simple line up for $40.00. My son's hair grows fast so I will need to revisit another barber during the week to for a proper cut. I am a mom and know what looks good and by providing a photo, I assumed it would look just like shown. Perhaps he could have made a recommendation to go lower on the sides or take some of the bulk off. My son has curly hair. Everyone else receiving service came out looking great. Just our luck, I guess. The owner perhaps can turn this into a teachable moment for his barber on consultation and suggestions. I should have read the reviews prior to coming. Hope this helps someone else; comments truly provide pause for thought.

Just a bad representation of a business, to start accosting someone outside their work when there's no customers to accommodate. The quality of the place is questionable, considering the person I spoke to enjoyed saying "fuck you" and "get the fuck out of here", to me within 30 seconds of talking(I was trying to be nice as this person started accosting me about disrespect for some perceived slight), if there's an issue with parking, as is common in urban environments, the solution is to call a tow truck, which wouldn't of gotten there in time, but from the reaction of the man who got unreasonably upset of me leaving and coming back within about a minute and a half(no joke, it was that short of time, he was still standing there at his door when I got back after I walked away), 911 in his case considering how desperately he needs the 2 empty spaces for his shop. Mind you, the entire time, while the owner was accosting me was longer than the time I left and came back, nobody showed up to partake in their haircuts, nobody used the other space that was fully available, and nobody would put that much degree of care into how empty parking spaces are used, besides the man who gets no business despite having "paid for" them. I think he was just upset his parking spaces he leases from the city are used more for the businesses around him than his own, and as a barber he's forced to watch it happen constantly as those around his grow while he's in the red. Enjoy the 1 star, you earned it for the unnecessary and unreasonable experience I had to endure at your place of business.

I will say my first two experiences weren't great, but I kept going back trying new stylist. At first I lived in McKinney and worked in Richardson so I tried the spot in Richardson, then one in the middle. Both experiences, weren't the greatest, but I put that on the stylist, not the place. My job moved to McKinney so I searched and found a Floyd's right down the street. Emma G was my stylist and I knew afterwards I would be using her as long as she works there. She is smart, sweet, attentive, and a very good stylist. I leave a lot of the details in her hands, I tell her basically what I'm looking for then say, "Intrust your judgment with the rest". She's never let me down. I recommend Floyd's, but highly recommend Emma!
