My dog right after his grooming experience. Proudly showing off.
    Adi E.

I recommend and will be back! My sister has been coming here for years with her Tibetan spaniel. I am a new dog owner. After three disappointing grooming experiences at places around my house, I decided to give this place a shot. The groomer came out and discussed what she was going to do and then went and got a picture to show me so that I felt comfortable. They kept me posted and called me to say that my dog would be ready in 30 to 40 minutes. He was! I got to the space early and liked that I could look through the window and see the whole back and the whole operation. I love his cut. I am so so happy with it. He finally looks like how an Australian Labredoodle is supposed to look. Also when I brought him home he did not act funny. A previous place I went to, my dog curled up and went to sleep for hours when he got home. He seemed shellshocked. It's also worth noting that I observed the groomers treatment of animals both when they knew I was looking (at dropoff) and when they didn't. (At pickup). They are sweet and kind to the animals (as it should be) and observant of the animals' needs. As an animal lover this is very important to me. For example, when I went to pick up, I commented that my dog was loose in the back. They said "Yeah he seemed unhapppy in the crate. He was biting on it so we let him out." "It was just him. We don't let more than one dog out at a time". Also, at drop off, I was filling out paperwork. I observed the other Groomer take in a small dog. She noticed the dog was wanting to watch her owner leave and so she stood patiently and said "you want to watch your mama leave." And then she waited for when the dog was ready and that's when she took her back to the back.

We moved to Columbus this summer and had trouble finding the right groomer for my baby, Stevie Licks. We have been to the Grooming Spot 3 times and they always do an amazing job! I like that you can add on special shampoos and nail filing too.

I brought my springer spaniel, Oakley, here and was very pleased! Admittedly, a bit nervous because they have some poor reviews but I noticed a lot of them are very old so I decided to give them a chance. Alli (I believe is her name) took amazing care of my anxious pup and did her cut EXACTLY the way I asked her to. I can get a little specific with the way my dog gets cut but she really delivered! She was there for about 5 hours and I felt the pricing was very fair for everything that was included. Her nails are cut perfectly, ears are SUPER clean, she smells amazing, and she even got a cute bandana. I would highly recommend Alli to anyone. If we weren't in town for only a short period of time, I would definitely come again!

If you care about the way your dog is cut do not take your pup here!!! I would like to say I'm normally not a karen and understand extreme circumstances but I always tell groomers if something comes up call me. I recently relocated to Columbus and figured I would try this place out to groom my cocker spaniel. Needless to say even after talking to the groomer prior to the appointment over the phone and in person about how she is normally cut and asking for a longer length I came back to find my 3 year old cocker shaved. They claimed it was matting and even charged me extra for dematting. She looks nothing like her normal cocker cut and her nails were barely trimmed. I told the groomer the reason she needed longer hair is because we just came from such a warm climate to the snow and she gets cold easily. I am beyond upset and the groomer being condescending when I was visibly upset made it even worse. Also not sure why but her leash had a knot in it. She is home but acting skittish and refusing treats which has never happened in all her grooming appointments over the years. Do yourself a favor and don't go here.

They were able to do everything requested - wash, dry, ear clean, nail trim and anal glands. I came back to a happy, non stressed dog! To give some context- - my dog hates nail trims where he yelps before you even start. They were able to do all nails - he doesn't mind ears touched but forget about cleaning - usually need 3 people to hold him for anal gland expressions- groomer (Jordan) said he didn't even make a peep Also they don't use muzzles! I love that especially bc my dog isn't trained for muzzles and I wouldn't want him in one just for grooming. Best way to get ahold of them is text message imo. They're a small business- support them!

Thankfully, my boyfriend recommended I go see Miss Sara. I don't like car rides and I ain't too keen on meeting new folks. My mommy was thinking I was gonna wild out. But Miss Sara and Miss Jordan are such good cuddlers and soothed me so well, I was super good and not nervous at all! I had some mats in my bum, an overgrown nail or three, and a lot of hair in my ears. Miss Sara was on it and told my mommy I may need an antibiotic. She really looked after me. Ellie has been with The City Dog since 2018 and we're glad the space still feels familiar for her. There are some different faces around but we have experienced that over the years and love that Ellie still feels at home. We boarded her for 6 days and 5 nights in June (for Vaca) and were really happy with the care she received. Prices on boarding have gone up a lot for a dog suite, but they honored our previously booked rate which we appreciated. We also did a recent daycare visit on July 3 and still have several days left in our old package that we can use this year before making any real changes. The only downside is the change from member packages to a new (for us) monthly subscription model. It's not really that appealing or attractive to us. The subscription based model takes away the flexibility we enjoyed as longtime customer. So we never felt like we were losing money for services we didn't use. Overall, space is great, now larger, with the building combined and noting we are a couple months in on the merger. We will see how things go over the next few months, but for now we feel good about the transition and would recommend Park Your Paws Columbus-Downtown, especially for boarding and daycare. I've never experienced this at another dog daycare before! I was elated that all dogs were not crammed together and had space, along with the trainers being close by. My German Shepherd Husky mixes have loved learning all that Paige and team have put in front (more like to the side ) of them. Their controlled walking has been a night and day difference, especially when there are other distractions around. We've continued to work on everything that we have learned; heel, sit, place, and come. The individual one on one training sessions after boarding for 3 weeks has been amazing, as it has been a good transition to work on things at home. Reach out to Paige and All Purpose K9 today!!

I looked like tarred and feathered just sitting around (Reminder to self, why I never had long white furred pooches before). Now her coat is totally deshedded, smooth , and so silky and NO white fur all over the place. This is after two other groomers did her and, if my black sweatpants was any evidence, utterly failed.
