Groome (formerly Sandia Shuttle) drove me from The Eldorado to the ABQ Sunport Airport. I was picked up at 4:30am for an 8am flight. Price point was good ($58) as was promptness (important for an airport lift). This was considerably less than the $209 I paid when arriving at ABQ at 10pm. For that I hired a car since it was so late. It's a bit confusing how late the Groome shuttles run - the times on the vm recording differ from the times posted on the website. Anyway, a good service, although the shuttle was packed. 14 passengers and a driver. I ended up having an interesting convo with another passenger, but still wish the shuttle was less packed. read more

Your customers count on you to manage your business and provide the service you advertise. Someone called in sick? Bummer. Take if off the schedule. Only advertise rides you can staff. Otherwise, you are showing a schedule you want to provide, but if enough riders don't schedule you can simply cancel. You have no other drivers? Your schedule is not something you aspire to. It should be correct - it is inaccurate if you cannot staff your routes. Got a response from the business. I DID HAVE A RESERVATION. So did the other people you left waiting on the curb. read more

I had an easy time making an online reservation for my shuttle to the Albuquerque airport. I was able to call and make a time change very easily. And when I was on my way but going to be 2 minutes late, the driver called me and confirmed he could wait for me. Everything about this experience was great. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because my booking fee included the tip for the driver. I didn't see this anywhere on their website, but I could have missed it? So I ended up tipping my driver in person- making it a double tip. It's a small thing, but it put a small "ugh" to what was an easy and nice shuttle service. read more

For those of you who have been to Santa Fe, you know that it is absolutely a magical city. However, for those from flying in from out of town, you know that most cities do not offer direct flights to Santa Fe, so you must fly into Albaquerque. Well, that is exactly what we did. Then we drove to Santa Fe. However, my friend had to return several hours before me. I chose to spend more time in my magical city, so I chose a Groome Transportation shuttle in order to get back to Albuquerque much later in the day. When I booked, I had no idea what shuttles were available...just a quick online search lead me to Groome. Well, my biggest decision was the time they should pick me up. They only offered a few pickup times before my flight. I didn't want to have to spend forever in the airport. I had to write in a flight time much later than my actual flight time in order to reduce my airport wait time, but it made me anxious that perhaps they wouldn't pick me up at the stated time. Anyway, I received a confirmation via email as soon as I booked. The next day, I waited for the shuttle in the hotel lobby. I decided that after 25 minutes of the listed pickup time, I would call the company if they did not yet arrive. After that, if I didn't have a response, I would then reset to a rideshare service. Well, 25 minutes after the pickup time... nothing.. then 30...nothing. So I called. Someone answered. While we were talking, a gentleman arrived and escorted myself and my luggage to the van. I suppose that was the reason for the early pickup times. I do think they would really benefit from a location application, so that I would have some confirmation that they were actually coming... especially if it would update the pickup time. When the ride arrived, it was just fine. The gentleman carried was friendly enough and the other customers in the van were very kind. The drive was safe and arrived in plenty of time. All in all, I think that Groome Transportation is a valid and useful form of transportation, but could be remarkably improved by including an application that would reassure customers that they were actually coming. read more

I've used this service many times--for myself and for friends and family. It's a wonderful price and service and the one time they were a few minutes late, I wasn't ready for my father-in-law to leave anyway. It was like 8 minutes. I used their service to ABQ airport from Santa Fe. They do pickups from hotels, airports, and many locations around Santa Fe, so it was very convenient. I chose to depart from their main office and got there around 7 pm for my scheduled 8 pm departure. They had a waiting area in their office, which was clean and neat. The mini-bus was clean, and I was also pleased when we departed on schedule, especially since the distance to the airport was quite far. I've read unpleasant things from other reviews on Yelp, but I'm glad it didn't happen to me. Furthermore, I would highly recommend booking ahead of time to prevent delays. They also don't do refunds. If you have to cancel or reschedule, they will give it to you as a credit for the next ride. The driver was friendly and drove safely- not speeding or driving recklessly. In addition, he also wore a mask the entire time, so I felt very safe and comfortable throughout the ride. I will be using their service again when I'm in Santa Fe! read more

Our driver was wonderful, he put all our luggage in the bus for us, picked up all the riders and found a timely way around a major freeway closure on the way to the airport due to a car fire. We arrived in plenty of time and he was so friendly, we all chatted on our ride. I will use them from now on when I go to New Mexico. Thank you for being so dependable and reliable. I booked a ride from Santa Fe's main office to the ABQ airport at 4:15pm. I arrived 5 mins early, and was told to take a seat in the waiting room. The driver came in about 10 mins later and asked if I wouldn't mind waiting 20 minutes because we have to pick up 2 others on the way. One at 5:15pm. I asked if we would still be at the airport on time, and the driver assured me I would be there by 6:30pm. I think management needs to organize the rides better, or reach out to those that booked and advise of delays. I get why the driver asked to delay, but now I'm sitting at this office for 20mins when I could have just waited, and come when we would actually leave. read more

I'd like to amend my review from a week or so ago. First, my earlier review landed on the Santa Fe, NM page, and my review pertained to the Colorado Springs office. There was an issue with an incorrect reservation and payment/refund, which has since gotten resolved. I appreciate the help from the Santa Fe and Colorado Springs Groome offices - they were both very helpful. Also, my ride from Colorado Springs to the Denver Airport was fabulous and the driver was courteous, friendly and prompt. Thank you so much! read more

I have been travelling Groome for several years now and have not hit any snags. However, this evening while attempting to book round trip transportation between ABQ and Santa Fe, there did not appear to be any available seats on the shuttle return (four available seats were called out for the outbound trip). I called the number and the person who answered informed me that there were 10 available seats and that no one had booked any of them yet. She implied that I should refresh my browser. I did, no joy. Also, I got the same thing using three other browsers. It appears to me as if Groome is avoiding communicating available seats to prospective customers as they may not be dispatching drivers if the van does not get enough bookings to make it worth their while. By not displaying available seats, they are setting the booking party up for the old "well, if you didn't see any available seats on the return trip, then why did you book it?" To quote a recent customer service response here on Yelp: "if there is no availability on the shuttle, you can always wait for the next shuttle with a seat available," meaning the next day if that is what it takes. I will not book another trip on Groom until customer service answers the following question: Does Groom Transportation not dispatch a driver for departure or pick up times when bookings are inadequate? read more

Today, I am on a crowded van from Santa Fe with every seat taken, plus a LARGE DOG in the isle. I am uncomfortable and cramped in my narrow seat. I doubt I will every voluntarily use GROOME again seeing that you are booking this way. read more

Do not use this service. I booked ahead of time and asked for a phone number in case there was a problem as my flight was getting in late to Albuquerque (11:40pm on American)They said there would be no problems and the office is closed but the driver will be there, no matter what. My flight was delayed, got there at 1:15am.... No driver, no message(they had my phone #) no answer at the business#! No taxis. Lyft couldnt find a driver. Finally at 2am a Uber driver showed up but did not want to drive me to Santa Fe. I had to bribe her $150. Groome was supposed to get me there for $39. I am a Older Single female stuck alone at the airport. Great customer service. HORRIBLE To Do This To Someone!!! read more

I booked transportation with Groome, but found another ride an hour later. They would NOT give me my money back. The man I spoke to in Santa Fe was very disrespectful and said I could have a "credit" for next time. There wont be a next time! they kept $78. dollars of mine! The trip from SF to ABQ was a straight shot, and reserving at the last minute over the phone was painless. One thing I wasn't expecting is that they are very clear that the driver gets a gratuity. I was reminded to tip TWICE. It was like everyone had their hands out. As far as airport shuttles go, this shuttle is a cramped minivan. We had to wait for a late passenger which makes people heading to the airport to catch a flight a bit nervous. The van was nearly full, it was not particularly easy to get in and out of, and one woman was asked to get out so that another passenger could sit in the middle of the back row. And $37 for a shuttle is higher than one pays in larger, more expensive metropolitan areas. Would I take the shuttle again? Well, yes, because we don't have much choice do we? Maybe next time I'll just fly out of Santa Fe and skip this shuttle altogether. read more

If you pre-order a ticket on their shuttle and your flight gets delayed causing you to miss the shuttle, there's nothing you can do about it. They'll still charge you and they won't offer a refund you. Super shady business practice - flights get delayed all the time read more

Am on a rickety van with a driver who seemed quite old to be driving and zero personality. Maybe it's a bad day for him but not a friendly or nice guy. I never get car sick but this thing sways all over. Not a comfortable ride. My first and definitely my last ride with this company. Sorry Groome This did not feel safe or pleasant in any way. Are we in the Dark Ages? Their customer service/ dispatcher contact phone is shut off at 7pm according to the automated greeting!!!???? My flight to the Albq airport was delayed as is often the case and I missed my 5:45pm shuttle. When my the flight finally took off I couldn't reach anyone at Groome. I tried to reschedule on line and their website wouldn't let me schedule a later shuttle same day even though their site says they have 9:30 and 10:45pm shuttles. When I landed at 8:30 there was no one around. Nothing. This is just stupid. Ridiculous. read more

The pick up times require you to fly later in the morning. They are polite, but the service is very limited, and you cannot make an online reservation unless you book 48 hours or so in advance. read more

I booked a shuttle with them. Nobody was working that night so they just had me waiting at the airport for hours. Eventually when the airport closed down the TSA told me I had to leave so I got a taxi for $200 instead. They still charged me, careful this is a scam company. read more

Today was just about as bad of an experience I have ever had with any kind of transportation company, and I travel constantly. First they had the wrong time of our commercial flight in the system, and they said they had rebooked us for a later shuttle, but that shuttle driver never came. When we called to ask what was happening they hung up on us not once, but twice. Save your money, yes Uber or Lyft. It actually ended up being less expensive for two of us. read more

We took the shuttle from Hotel Santa Fe to ABQ Sunport. I LOVED our driver and wish I remembered her name. Very friendly and nice. The only reason for 4 stars is that we were the first pickup in a group of pickups, and we also arrived at the airport sooooo early that it really can cut your trip a little short. We just took the Sandia Shuttle from Santa Fe to ABQ and it was great! We had planned to rent a car, but when we got to the rental center around 11:30 PM on a Friday night, the line was a mile long and we thought we wouldn't get to Santa Fe until 3 in the morning. We ended up getting an Uber instead. Our Uber driver warned us that prices from Santa Fe back to the airport can be quite a bit more expensive, and she told us about the train and the Sandia Shuttle. The train times weren't great for our flight time, so we went ahead and booked the Sandia Shuttle a day before our flight out. Reservations were super easy online, and the shuttle showed up at our hotel right on time. It was super windy on the drive to the airport, but our driver did a great job in the sketchy weather, and he was very friendly as well. We would definitely take Sandia Shuttle again when we come back to Santa Fe! read more

Shuttle part was fine, driver was great but customer service billing was terrible. My online reservation was cancelled by their system. Thankfully I noticed the cancellation a few days before my trip. When I called they said their website was having some issues because it charged me 48 for two travelers instead of 75 which is why it was automatically cancelled. So I rebooked over the phone for 75 and was told I wouldn't be charged for the cancelled reservation but I was. Two phone calls to customer service to remove the charge have resulted in no action so I'm having to contest the charge on my credit card which is a hassle. Next time I will get an Uber for the same price and more convenient pickup. read more

Sandia Shuttle was awesome in helping us out in delivering my Mom's C-pap machine to Santa Fe in time for bedtime, when we accidently left it behind at ABQ. They were so helpful in getting her onto the shuttle with her walker and so on, for her return to ABQ. David was super courteous and thoughtful! read more
