I would think twice about doing business with HFR. They are not above deceiving a client in order…read moreto secure business. I worked hard to put together a comprehensive proposal for an LED lighting upgrade for a potential client. After a couple of months I was able to get a hold of the owner to ask how things were going with the project and how he felt about our proposal. I was told at that time that he had been told by his electrician (HFR Electric) that he had a bad experience with our company. He went on to say, telling the owner that if he were to purchase lamps from our company he would have to find another electrician. Our company has absolutely no history of doing business with HFR... ever. I made 3 calls to the company to speak with the owner. 3 times I got his secretary and I explained why I was calling. I wanted to understand why he had such bad things to say about our company. Perhaps it was just a case of mistaken identity and we could get things straightened out. None of those calls were returned. I am now inclined to think that HFR was looking to procure, and then sell, the lighting to the client himself. This leads me to believe that HFR was more interested in pulling a bit more profit out his project by purchasing the lamps and selling them to the company himself. My company represents over 50 manufacturers directly, there is no middle man. This says that HFR is willing to do just about anything to increase their own profit, even if it means taking advantage of a client and stepping on the reputation of another company.

Calling them and booking everything was so easy. They came and gave an estimate - then rolled in the price of the estimate into the work since we decided to go with them. They were less expensive than another company I looked at so I decided to go with them and they did a great job! One of the light fixtures I bought was broken (unknown to me) and they didn't even tell me until later that they went to get a replacement for me and didn't charge me for it! Admittedly they were unsure if they broke it, but either way it was nice that they took care of it without needing me to go get and pay for the replacement. They even vacuumed after themselves to clean up. Could not recommend more!

On Monday I tried to call for regular service but each time I called the main number I was hung up on. It said I could leave a message but then said the mail box was full and hung up. I then used chat on the website who offered me a date a week or two out. This was unacceptable for an emergency after having a lightning strike. The system that Current Electric uses is very flawed, so don't expect to get emergency service from them. I have used them before and spent thousands of dollars on upgrades but will think twice before using them again.
