She would ask you inappropriate questions that have nothing to do with your health. Just out of curiosity she would ask about you relationship, family, or something else completely unrelated. She is always happy to hear some nasty details. Every time I visit her - she ironically asks me if I am still dating the same boyfriend, and what is his skin color. Aside from her shitty personality, she is also not that good of a doctor. Never prescribes enough medicine (so that you have to make another appointment with her). Not helpful. The last drop of my terrible experience with this bitch Ruderman was that she told my mom about something that I shared with her earlier(related to my health). And yes, I am well over 18. I have a legal right to sue her for a disclosure of my personal information. Avoid her by all means. She is BEYOND terrible.

Phone:(212) 627-1222 When women choose a OB/GYN, they should be pretty picky, and I went to Dr. Simone for two years paying out of pocket (my insurance was not in her network) because frankly, she's worth the money. She does not overbook, which is almost a shame since the view from the waiting room window while you recline on the leather couch is gorgeous (Lower Manhattan south). Her receptionist, Yahira, is as amazing as the view. Also, she might be the most efficient and helfulp women I have literally encountered in all of medicine. Once in the office, you sit and talk to figure out your needs before there is any physical examination. She takes notes on what is going in your life to try to get a better idea of how any treatments can help or if you have any risk factors. While she can be a little bit invasive compared to other doctors, this will only be to your benefit. Frankly, I think it was the sheer lack of concern from my doctors in the past that left me so confused when she actually wanted to talk for 20 minutes before the physical. The physical is thorough and not at all awkward (as not awkward as an internal exam can be...). There is a fertility goddess decoration thing I could live without, but other than that, the exam rooms are pristine. Lastly, many women use their OB/GYN's as their primary physicians these days and recently she was indispensible to me in that regard. Basically, if you're new to town and/or tired of cold/creepy/impersonal doctors, I could not recommend her more.

Last year, a colonoscopy didn't reveal the source of severe abdominal pain, so she told me to "go to the ER." No further instruction, so I insisted on an official note from her. Recently, I've suffered WEEKS of paralyzing cramping and diaherrea, leaving me fatigued, dehydrated and unable to go out. The tests came back negative for parasites, etc. She literally waved her hand dismissively and said it's all "in your head," and that I was "too anxious." Or not, whatever, congrats on your decisiveness, but that is definitely what I was thinking after bouncing from doctor to doctor for the past few years. I was worried that I might make the commitment and then regret it. I didn't understand how Dr. Cho could be that much better than other doctors. Oh my god that was stupid. Dr. Cho is SO much better than other doctors. She thinks, she asks great questions, she listens, she explains, she cares! Try to imagine a doctor who does all of that really well. Like, imagine just a really stand out ideal doctor, the doctor that you really hope you will meet if you go for One Medical group. Are you imagining? Good. That doctor you are imagining sucks compared to Dr. Cho. The difference is that Dr. Cho doesn't just care about her patients. She cares about her job. Deeply and to the point that it is obvious within minutes of meeting her (or I don't know, can someone fake that? I don't think so). So as a great doctor, with a team of great doctors around her, she probably has spent a lot of time, her life really, thinking about how to be the best doctor. Way more than you or I have spent. So she knows far more than we do about what a great doctor should do. That means that when you go to the office and see Dr. Cho there are so many things being done to make your visit go perfectly that you won't even notice or understand them all. You just have a great experience. Then, what, I guess you sit down and think about it and try to explain it on Yelp and realize that you are under-qualified to explain why the experience was so great but you really want other people to know. So... yeah, all of that. I guess its time for you to stop vacillating and make an appointment.
