John ran a game night for our family of 16. It was great. He is very high-energy and attentive. The group was made up of about half-introverts and the other half hopeless-introverts. Yet, everyone got into the games and out of their shells. John was very effective in getting all of the participants to participate without making them feel self-conscious. Another big plus: he was very inclusive and spontaneous. We loved his improvisational spirit. When some of the participants had an idea for a variation on one of the games, he went with it. The two hours + flew by so quickly that, before we knew it, the games came to a close. A very fun night. John clearly knows what he's doing. read more

I attended my company yearly kickoff and Grin Events was the after lunch team building exercise. These guys were great. TV game shows were utilized to get different tables to work together, making mistakes, earning GE bucks and just plan having fun. We will be taking about the experience for some time for sure. If you need to get your teams to work together, have them play together. read more

What a fun night that we had with Grin Events. John was an excellent game show host and there was plenty of fun Christmas games to play with from Jeopardy to Family Feud guessing famous Christmas songs and reindeers. I didn't know what to expect as this was my first virtual social event with Grin Events but I was blown away with John's enthusiasm and fun impressions! By the end, everyone was giggling and having fun. I recommend Grin Events for anyone wanting a fun and memorable event. read more

I was looking for interactive entertainment for my annual volunteer appreciation event and found Game Night San Diego through Gigsalad. I am so glad I did because John and his team are AWESOME!! John is extremely easy to work with, great with communication and details, etc. He helped me arrange for an unforgettable night that our staff and volunteers loved!! I work with Gift of Hospice in San Diego and have a tight budget and wasn't sure what was possible, but from the moment John contacted me he made it all work. They have several options of games and what could be done so it was nice to have options. I chose an interactive game experience that got everyone laughing, participating and making memories. Johns staff led by Philip at our event were personable, outgoing and really worked the room. During the event my timeline was running behind and as I was getting nervous Phillip just said hey don't worry we will make it work and came up with plan b on the spot with me. Fabulous customer service. Our group did Pictionary, sculpt it, charades and taboo which was tons of fun. The teams kept mixing up throughout the night so everyone had a chance to play against everyone else by the end of the night which was great for team building and camaraderie. Our group ranged in age from 18-65 and everyone had fun, was laughing, engaged in the activities etc. All of the feedback I received from attendees was positive and people were talking about the fun days after the event! I would absolutely hire John and the Game Night San Diego team again without hesitation!! read more

I organized an employee appreciation event for 800 people and was looking for some fun lawn games as well as the opportunity for some trivia. John seemed to know exactly what my employees wanted. He was able to adjust his usual trivia into smaller 30 minute sessions which gave more people the opportunity to come down and have fun. Everyone loved him and his funny TV Host character (along with mustache). The oversize Jenga, oversize Connect 4, ball toss, ring toss, corn hole, etc was well worth the cost. I would hire him again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend Game Night San Diego to everyone! read more

Loved working with John at San Diego Game Night! I had an event at work and I needed some fun games for staff to play during the event, and John delivered! We had giant jenga, giant connect four, spike ball, corn hole, and another game or two that the staff LOVED playing. In fact, things got a little competitive in a great way! John was kind enough to help work with our budget as we are a non-profit organization and he even came out to the event to help facilitate playing the games. John really was awesome to work with from start to finish and I look forward to working with him again! read more

John ran a game night team activity for a management offsite meeting at the Rancho Valencia Resort. We had participants from around the country and they all had an excellent time. John was personable, outgoing, entertaining and funny. We all enjoyed the games, he did an excellent job of moving things along and keeping all the participants engaged and entertained. John worked with us in advance on planning the right games and showed up early to work with the hotel staff on the set up. He was also very flexible on the pace of the activities to allow the group to interact more, enjoy our food and drinks. Would definitely use Game Night San Diego again and highly recommend for any company events. read more

Hired Game Night San Diego to run a company wide virtual "team building" event for my team of 25. Everyone had a great time and I'm receiving rave reviews internally. We would definitely do it again. read more

Game Night San Diego is the place to go for all of your team building needs! We were trying to find ways to keep our company interns connected virtually and a peer group recommended Game Night San Diego. I couldn't be happier. John was easy to work with and he customized the game content to our company and demographic. The energy John and his team brought to the virtual game show was phenomenal. I can't recommend them enough. If you're looking for a way to keep teams connected through laughing and fun look no further. read more

We had John from Game Night San Diego provide an amazing night of entertainment for our annual Halloween party. We had about 40 kids and John was just as good with the 6 year olds as the adults. He arrived early and had everything setup and ready to go for the party. We had 6 game stations with family friendly games. He had contacted me well before the party to make sure the games would be fun and easy to play for kids. He had a ton of enthusiasm and we loved the party music he played during the games. We can't wait to have him over again for more kid and adult events! read more

John and his Game Night Staff were great during our online game night. We wanted to test out their new online format for team building during the Covid-19 Pandemic. We invited a group of our Engineers to play a few games. Everyone I spoke with after said they had a great time and that for the almost 2 hours they were online playing, they forgot about what was going on in the outside world. This was the goal and Game Night SD helped with that. I can see this being a thing even after social distancing is relaxed. Thank you again John (and Teams). We can't wait to schedule our next event. read more

I am so glad that I went to Game Night. John, the affable host, runs a smooth and fun event. He explains the rules well, and the board game equipment is well kept. There are a wide range of prizes and all players are enthusiastic and there to have a good time! Many people I met have been new transplants to San Diego, but a few regulars were also present. The atmosphere of Game Night is quite upbeat and it is easy to find out when different events are happening via Meetup or Facebook. I would love to come back and play again! read more

We contacted Game Night to be the entertainment for my grandmother's 90th birthday. John was perfect - expertly read the room and seamlessly engaged everyone. We've never laughed harder (and it was a tough crowd). I even requested a game not already in John's library and John's adoption absolutely nailed it. Cannot speak highly enough of John and the experience. read more

Game Night San Diego provided a great mix of informal and facilitated games for our son's Bar Mitzvah. It was the perfect alternative to a DJ we were seeking and kids and adults enjoyed all that was provided. The big games brought together small groups organically and the kids ended up talking and laughing all night. No cell phones in view except to take pictures of course! Our gathering was about 60 people and we had two big games set up and a station with 5-6. The contact with John was great, he made sure we understood the details, he offered advice and counsel but was completely flexible with changes. And on the night of the event he was able to adjust based on what he saw in the dynamic of the evening. We highly recommend John and Game Night San Diego. read more

Absolutely amazing virtual event with the team at Game Night San Diego. We had an event with a lot of people who have never met one another in person and it did not take long at all for the group to feel comfortable with one another and have a sense of comradery amongst each of the teams. My cheeks hurt at the end of it all from smiling and laughing so much! read more

It was so much fun having giant sized games at our wedding reception! We chose Jenga and Connect Four. The guests loved it! John was very helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend Game Night San Diego for your next party! read more

Grin Events - Team Building Activities Near Me

I cannot say enough about John Grindle and his staff! We threw a 70th birthday party Game Show style for my mom this past weekend. This was a great way to connect with all of our family and friends across the US and truly made what could have been a dull and boring party SO. MUCH. FUN. The Game Show was even themed around things my mom likes to do. The Zoom meeting worked so well even for many technically challenged baby boomers :) and John was patient and extra explanatory to make sure it was easy for everyone. We had kids participate as young as 5 and people as old as 80. This is truly for anyone. John did a great job and we would do it again in a heartbeat. Thanks John! read more

I hired John and his team for a virtual game night as a celebratory treat for my department of ~50 people. We work in entertainment out of LA, so I was really picky about who I wanted to hire for this event knowing we're tough critics. I've received nothing but amazing feedback from my team members, even the ones who had technical difficulties because the energy was infectous and the team building was so refreshing. Game Night San Diego is professional, polished, thoroughly thought out, and a blast! They walked everyone through the technicalities of navigating Zoom and had an excellent program lined up for us. I think our favorite part was the break out rooms, where teams discussed and strategized in smaller groups before returning to the larger room to buzz in answers. It allowed us to have fun with the games but also catch up and work together in a fresh, fun way. 100% worth it! read more

This was AWESOME and SUPERFUN! I highly recommend this - you HAVE to do this for your team, company, birthday or any type of virtual gathering. This people are absolute pros, they are quick to respond and for the Game Night really loosened us up, engaged everyone, and we were all rolling on the floor laughing!!! Well worth the value, top notch professional entertainment & teambuilding, our group is still laughing about it. I'd sneak it into a midday professional mandatory meeting at work...surprise everyone. read more

John facilitated a game night for 18 of us. We chose the game show option and could not have had more fun. Every single friend told us what a great time they had and appreciated John and his comedic host expertise. I would definitely recommend John and Game Night for any party/work/team-building occasion. He was a joy to welcome in our home. read more

John planned a themed game afternoon for our college reunion (virtual due to the pandemic) and it was honestly more fun than the reunion would have been in person. I've never seen Zoom work so smoothly and seamlessly, and the games were super fun and a great way to connect with old friends. Instead of small talk that gets old really fast, we were able to reminisce and laugh about the past through the games John created. It was an absolute blast. Could not recommend more highly! read more

I am not a huge gamer, but went to a Game Night after having my arm twisted by a friend. Honestly it has been an awesome way to meet some new people and I found out that I am an EXCELLENT Pictionary player! I would recommend this to anyone looking to have a few glasses of beer (or wine) and would like to have a fun activity to meet some new people at the same time. read more

My company had a team building event and with ages ranging from 23 - 55, it was hard to find something to "accommodate" everyone. This was the perfect event and the team had an absolute blast! John and his staff are AMAZING!!!! We did our company fun day yesterday and it went over great with all the staff. We had soo much fun interacting with each other playing beach games. This game night was so much fun! I am super into these kinds of game shows (Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Family Feud, etc.), but even if I wasn't, the host was so engaging. We didn't know what to expect at our company-wide training for this night activity, but it was great! John had different props to imitate the hosts of each show. His jokes honestly had all of us cracking up. There was not one person in the room that wasn't into it. They were able to read the room and cater to everyone. I would love to book this for a personal game night. I highly recommend them! It was a ton of fun and we have videos to prove it! read more

John was super prompt with his responses, very flexible and reasonable given that our party went well into the night, and he arrived on time at the day of the event. Timing was super critical as I was throwing my boyfriend a surprise party so I needed to ensure he wasn't home during the delivery. The professionalism is greatly appreciated and I will definitely do business with John again! read more

John was phenomenal. I hosted my daughters 13th birthday last weekend and had Game Night San Diego provide the entertainment. We had 20 teenagers (a tough crowd) at the party and John was amazing with the girls. He had every one of them engaged in the activities. They all enjoyed themselves and really got into the games. I feel like he did a great job reading his audience. He divided them into teams, played 3 rounds of games with them, and did an awards presentation. I loved the way he continually mixed up the kids so they were always interacting with different people throughout the night. Thanks for a job well done! read more

Game Night San Diego provided a variety of awesome games for a work event. It made the event fun, interactive, and engaging. John was great to work with and his enthusiasm and energy were contagious. Game night San Diego led a super fun team building event for a work event. We all met at the beach and divided into teams to build and attack sand castles. Along with other fun challenges everyone was engaged and had a great time. The event was well organized, fun and moved at a great pace. I also think this would be super fun as a tween/teen/adult birthday party. read more

I recently hired John for a game night type private party at my house with 12 couples. I could not be more thrilled with how he planned and executed the day! We had an absolute blast playing three rounds of games and then having a little award ceremony. John was absolutely fantastic from the first minute I called him to research this as an option for my party. I can't wait to hire him again! I highly recommend Game Night San Diego! read more

I found John and Game Night San Diego after looking into different game day options for my best friend's Bachelor Party. From the first day I was in contact with John, he was absolutely amazing! He always responded promptly with a lot of detail and put me completely at ease during the planning process. John arrived on time and was in communication with me up until the moment he arrived. Putting my trust in him and hiring him for the bachelor party was honestly the best possible decision I made in planning the entire weekend! I am big on energy, and John's energy was phenomenal! He arrived with such a positive attitude, was so kind, easy-going, and wanted to make sure we all had the most fun possible! The games were easy to understand, but hard enough to make it challenging in the best way, and were great for a big group. The amount of time we spent playing each game was also planned out perfectly. The games are also a great ice-breaker in general. John adjusted the more PC games to fit our "Bachelor Party" theme and I don't think I have laughed that hard in a long time..which is the exact purpose of games like this! Whether it is for a corporate event, a birthday-type party, a bachelor/bachelorette party, I could not recommend John enough! Working with him was an absolute pleasure and I cannot wait to hire him again. Thank you John! read more

90 people thanksgiving family reunion and I was in charge of planning a game night that needed to include all ages. I was lucky to find John and he put together a game that was easy to run, interactive and everyone could play. My family loved it! John was amazing to work with - had everything I needed plus extras, spent a significant amount of time walking me through the game - making sure I was completely comfortable with how it worked. He even made himself available on thanksgiving for a phone call if I had questions or got stuck on anything. John went beyond my expectations and would highly recommend him! read more
