Eastgate Square is a great mall to get some nice deals on clothing, shoes and more. Tons of…read moreparking, big food court, easy access in and out of mall. There's a Winners, Urban Planet, Foot Locker, Dollarama, Bluenotes, Claire's, Fortinos, Sport Chek, and more. Eastgate Square has one of the bigger bus terminals in the city. Frequent departures will have you moving where you need to go in no time.

I stumbled across Eastgate Square by accident. My original goal was to visit a Shoppers Drug Mart…read moreto get a few essentials. I didn't realize until I got to the drug store that this closest one to my hotel was a part of a shopping mall. I don't visit malls all that often these days because they are a death trap as far as time and spending go. I am a shopper at heart and can spent hours at one. It was exactly what I did last weekend. From the outside, you can certainly tell which part was the original mall and which wing is relatively new. I looked at the new wing and it looked like it was detached from the mall. Nope, you can walk every part of it indoors without freezing outside in the wintertime. The store has a good selection of stores. It has many of my favourites, such as Winners, Kitchen Stuff Plus, Showcase, DAVIDs Tea, SoftMoc, Showcase, and Shoppers Drug Mart. There are plenty of places to sit down if you are too pooped to shop. The target shopper seems to be folks 60 years of age and higher, which could explain all the places for folks to sit down, chat with friends, and enjoy a beverage. Although I'm not in that demographic, it sounds pretty good to me! Signs are clearly displayed to help guide you around the mall. There is free wifi if you do need to connect online. There is a food court. I didn't eat there, but there are many options to choose from. And, yes, there's a Timmy's to get your double-double fix on. I had lunch at Sunset Grill on my final day in Hamilton. It was Family Day and this mall was closed. However, Sunset Grill has its own entrance at this mall, so I was happy to have lunch here. I used one of the women's washrooms at this mall last Saturday. It was clean and maintained frequently. It's a good mall if you want something smaller than Lime Ridge Mall, but has pretty much everything you need. I'd return to shop here again. (76)

I tend to visit HomeSense for two main reasons: kitchen accessories and snacks. This store did not disappoint me. The kitchen accessories were great. From scrapers and tea steepers, I can spend a good hour looking at everything. The prices were pretty good. The snacks aisle is elaborate. It has everything to suit practically every diet. I was pleased with many vegan and keto options. There are a few reduced sugar options that I appreciated. I managed to get a sugar-free bottle of raspberry syrup. There were some classy stools that would make any room more cheerful. I also liked a floor lamp that looked modern and sleek. I paid for my lone item with my debit card. I didn't have to wait at all. The cashier was pleasant and efficient. I passed on getting a plastic bag. I had a great experience at this store. I'd come back again when I'm at this mall. (75)

I think there are better stores like this one out there…read more For myself, I just wish there was more of a selection. The employee's here are anything but helpful in MY experience. One time I went into the store and was looking for a bed sheet, so I noticed there was one with a set, and all I wanted to know was if the bed sheet in the set was on an elastic band or not. So I saw 2 women just across from me as I went up to them I saw that they were talking and laughing with each other, one of them was telling a story to the other..with me standing right beside her! so I waited and waited (them not noticing me) until I politely said excuse me? and even when I said excuse me they kept talking! and when she finally noticed me she said, one second dear, and continued on talking to the other woman WHAT! Are you kidding me!? so I literally had to wait about 5 mins. until she was done, unbelievable! / then I asked her my question and instead of helping me all she did was laugh and then started telling me parts of the story I was like what! is going on with this woman! this is not acceptable behaviour. Then when she finally calmed down she looked at the packaging and said, I don't know.....that's it! and went back to talking to her friend. hmm...me thinks they are very experienced and should continue working here(sarcasm) Then I went to ask one of the stock people if they have or would get any bed sheets with elastic bands..and the woman in charge of stock told me I don't know. ...do these people know anything??? Very disappointed and surprised at the behaviour of these employee's (that I experienced at the time) (all opinions are from my OWN experience)
