Mrs. Zella checked me in and did my vitals, and she was so fun to talk to. :) The phlebotomist, Mrs. Emily, is absolutely precious, and so is the supervisor, Mr. Willie! I highly recommend donating here. Your contribution can help save a life, and there's no greater reward than that!

My arm has been badly bruised and even my finger tip was bruised and sore from being pricked so hard. Yesterday when I donated, she noticed the blood wasn't filling up, then after 2 other ladies who worked here came over to see what the problem was and assist, one of them discovered that the phlebotomist had not opened the clip completely and the blood wasn't flowing through the tube. This was after they pushed the needle up further and turned my arm around and applied pressure, etc. Once the tube was opened completely it filled up quickly, but then I still waited while my phlebotomist had to go assist someone with another patient before removing the needle from my arm. I will not be donating again for awhile, as I have left work to come donate and the experience has been uncomfortable. I have large veins too. Today my arm is bruised and sore to bend. Seems unnecessary.

I am Writing this review because, the operation at 3835 North brook Dr, Jackson, MS 39206., CSL…read morePlasma Donation Center, really operates unlike any other Plasma center I've ever donated at. The machines are not operational, in the same way. Its hard to explain, but there are certain windows that I avoid going to because I get denied there every time. I witness known crackheads and wine-o's donate there all the time. But if you question anything there, then you all of a sudden have issues donating. I am questioning this because, My blood pressure was 134 over 88 with a pulse of 101 this morning, and I was denied donating 1/18/2019. Donating in Illinois, this would not have been a problem, and I believe it is to the discretion of the health professional taking your blood pressure, temp, etc. I believe this business should be investigated as to why certain people are turned away while others who do not ask questions are given access to donate, almost every time. I will be very detailed. I have only donated since July. The staff is very polite and the inside of…read morethe building is very clean. This staff seems to always be ready to greet customers, even those who are not so friendly. However, when asked to give a review on google , it's a bit difficult because if you don't have an account, you will have to create a new one, not a big deal to some, but it's too much for me to have so many accounts. (just for a free candy bar) Although we are all there for the same reason (to help cure/save lives and to make extra money) I feel some returning donors are there for a place to hang out. I feel there should be a "line" for fast givers that want to get in and out, that normally give fast. This would be a great incentive to the rest of us that feel the same. If a donor is in there longer than 1.5-2 hours (that normally is a fast donor), that's entirley too long! That's just not good business and makes it hard to return the next time. So instead of the fees (which we all love to be more) why not make changes with the process? Speed it up! or how about during the giving process, actually have management conduct an interview with each donor to see just what brings them in? This staff works their ass off ( I rarely see management on the floor ) . Also they shoud hire more people to help in my opinion. As far as the TV & music, each to their own, we all like different things, you will never cure that issue. BUT, if you are going to have the TV on, how about something healthy for the mind and soul to take in? Not criminal minds or some horror movie, again, this goes back to management. I hope this review actually gets read by the staff. Thank you , Amber S.
