I originally gave them 5 stars because I thought the owner was honest. I have since learned…read moreotherwise. After getting two very high estimates on fixing my watch, I took it here and was given a cost of $80 to fix it, (See the written invoice which states-fix Movado watch) which relative to the others, seemed reasonable. Not an estimate mind you. He told me it would be 2-3 weeks because he had to send it out. This was on 3/13. On 3/ 27, two weeks later, he called and I expected it was to pick up my watch. It wasn't. It was to say that it was now going to cost $175-more than twice what he told me it was going to cost. (I previously shared with him the two other estimates I got and my guess is he realized there was an opportunity to leverage this. ) I was so annoyed that here I had given him a great review, because when I went in he was complaining about other bad reviews, and this was the thanks I got. When I went in to discuss this with him, he noted that he can't control outside vendor's timelines-agreed-but he is responsible for communicating a change to the original timeline and providing an explanation about why he wasn't honoring the written price he gave me to fix it. My guess is that my watch never left the Tinley Park store. I have lots of jewelry that needs to be maintained but I am done with this place. Suffice to say the watch is not getting fixed.

Awful customer service....I had a layaway that I had been making consistent payments on for almost…read morea year and when I wasn't able to make a payment I called and talked to several employees about my financial situation due to economic hardships of even being homeless and without my knowledge they cancelled my layaway which had a substantial amount of money accrued..and then charged me for canceling it! They had no legit reason when I found out through my mom which just happened to be in the area to check on it...and claimed that they couldn't find my layaway when she inquired about it! I immediately called them and the owner had a foul attitude when I complained that they never notified me that my layaway was intended to be cancelled...so after a back and forth argument of how they completely disregarded my rights as a customer...I just used the credit from one cancelled piece and used the balance to pay off the other piece of jewelry.....I would not recommend purchasing any thing from these shister people who lack integrity when dealing with pressing customer service issues and their valuable money!

Horrible experience. I received diamond earrings as a gift…read morewith a receipt. I went to return them and they told me that it would have to go back on the credit card and I explained to them. I was no longer with the person that gave them to me and it was a gift. They told me I could do nothing but trade them which I didn't want do . After a few months. I thought this over and called again and they knew exactly who I was and told me I could bring the earrings in and be offered a cash price. These were $2000 earrings (never worn with a receipt) and they gave me $500. Such a scam.

Mass brought it to life, even better than our expectations. Mass also gave us a bit of an education in diamonds. I thought I knew something about diamonds before, but in just minutes he revealed several new and interesting facts about rating diamonds. I have bought diamond rings in the past online, even from so called "top tier" companies that deal in diamond rings. And every single one I tried I have sent back. This is the reason you have to go to a brick and mortar jeweler, especially one of Massimo's caliber.
