I have NEVER had a worse customer experience than I have this morning. And that's coming from someone who has worked 3 years in retail, 1 year as a server and in other smaller customer service roles. A couple of days ago I made an appointment with Grice Chiropractic . When I called up they asked when I could come in, I made an appointment 2 days in advance. I just went there this morning, signed in, sat down and was waiting my turn (I was 20 minutes early). The lady at the front desk asked if I was a first time customer to which I said "yes." She then asked for my insurance card. I said I was not using my insurance, I was using a gift certificate (one that I had won in a costume contest for the amount of $60.00). She asked if she could see it and I got it out of my purse and gave it to her. A different woman then asked what I was there for today: an adjustment or massage. I said that I've never been to a chiropractor, so I wasn't sure, but I said I was thinking about a massage. The lady then said that if I was going to get a message they couldn't help me today because they book their massages separately. I told her that I called a couple days ago to schedule an appointment and whomever I talked to didn't ask me about my insurance or how I'd be paying, she just made my appointment. She then asked replied with, "I don't know who you spoke to." I offered to look in my phone to see what day and time I called to see who was working. "Regardless," she said, "We can't see you today. These gift certificates are usually only for massages." I told her how I couldn't come later today because I booked the appointment before work and I was going home to Louisiana next week for Christmas. They didn't work with my restrictions but stayed firm in, "There's nothing we can do for you now." I asked them how I was supposed to know to mention that I'd be using a gift certificate for my appointment, especially since it doesn't say "Massages Only" on it... anywhere. "This is Bigham's fault," (the company who awarded me the certificate) they said. I asked how because it was printed with their information, logo, etc. on it. I was frustrated and upset. I've been having pain for a long time and thought they could help me. I told them that I wanted to try them out because I was thinking about becoming a recurring customer. A man walked up, heard my complaint and just repeated that they couldn't help me even though I made an appointment earlier. I said that I'd be writing a bad review for this experience and he said, "That's fine, go ahead." I've been in communications for years and would not have handled a situation they were presented with like this. I left upset and cried the entire way to my car. Needless to say that I will NOT be returning. If you like good customer service I wouldn't recommend this place. read more
