ORIGINAL: Erie's Amtrak station needs to be made presentable. Taking the train is a wonderful experience and the perfect option for someone who 1. doesn't want to fly and 2. doesn't choose to take the bus and stop in every small town on the map and then some. Amtrak itself and its friendly conductors and staff are great. It's the concrete walkways into the Amtrak Erie Station and up to the boarding area that are unbelievably shabby. This dilapidation offers a sharp contrast to much of the rest of the beautifully restored Union Station and its microbrewery. As a local resident and regular train traveler, it breaks my heart to think this is the impression Erie leaves on other passengers who also use this station. Please consider even minimal renovations to this part of the architecturally stunning Union Station so that it can match the rest of the building's classiness. Let's leave a positive imprint on those who walk through its historic doors.

He quoted me an hourly price for 5 hours on a party bus and encouraged me to sign the contract immediately and send my CC info to secure my spot. He never gave me a total price, and it took days to receive a total once I requested it, so I signed the contract to secure my spot in the meantime. He conveniently filled in the times we requested the bus for me on the contract... 6-11pm (see attached photo), but he left the total # of hours we'd be billed for blank (obviously knowing that if he wrote 7 hours when we requested 5, I'd question it). I wrote 5 hours in the blank MYSELF, and he didn't have the decency to correct me & inform me that we'd be billed for 7 prior to solidifying the contract. The second page of the contract (also pictured) has a VERY fine print, wordy, and quite confusing section explaining that we'd be billed for the time the bus took to arrive to our drop off and pickup destination. When I received our total and saw that it was MUCH more expensive than expected, I politely explained that I misunderstood this part of the contract and that this was much more than we planned to spend. His immediate RUDE response: "I'm sorry there was an error on your part". I asked politely if there was any way to rectify the situation, offering that we use the bus for 3 hours so we will be billed for only 5 as I had written on the contract I signed, and he wouldn't even entertain the idea. This was all within days of signing. That being said, the bus was stunning and in perfect condition. Our driver was beyond helpful and professional. I would absolutely book with the ACTUAL bus company again, but would never even consider giving Barnes Worldwide Limousine my business again. See attached photos for references and make sure you have a full understanding of any contract before signing. Also, don't expect the owner of this company to be polite or helpful once you've signed your contract and he's got you legally bound.
