Bus to Marathon, the bus is a short walk from the airport doors. The walk took about 5 mins from the doors. Walk to the corner and make a left and you will find it right there. The man working inside was kind, and welcoming. You are supposed to weigh your bags prior to departure. The drive greeted me, welcomed me aboard. Omg. I have taken this bus to key west so many times . They used to have it cleaned to a certain extent with a few grit here and there but NOW.... OMG . I kid you not I've counted 12 roaches. LITERALLY 12. I have 3.5 hours left and I am considering getting an Uber to miami haha. Wild . I saw one on the panel next to me and moved. As soon as I moved I found one ON MY SHOE AND TWO ON THE PANEL NEXT TO ME . Bold ass mf's . They are literally crawling between peoples stuff. Everyone keeps moving but nowhere is safe . NOWHERE . Now I have to pay $200 from Islamorada . They clearly don't clean the bus. There are food bags and carts from the previous trip or night . Disgusting . Update . Worst experience ever!! I stood on the side of the road in Big Pine Key waiting/looking for the bus. My pickup was 2:10. I get to the stop at 1:30. When I called the number(which took me forever to find). The lady told me that the bust was still in the parking lot!!! I'm not it's not!!! Then she told me that tracking showed the bus on the next island 20 MILES AWAY!!!! So how do I get to the airport now???!! I will NEVER use greyhound again!!!! read more

Greyhound left three of us stranded in Marathon Key. We were headed back to Miami Airport for 4:00 pm flights and had tickets for 9:35 bus. Busbud indicated bus would arrive at 9:42. We were at the designated stop at 9:15. Bus went right by us with-out stopping. I called Greyhound Customer Service, they said I needed to call Key West Terminal to request that they call drive and ask him to return to Marathon to pick us up. Key West clerk said that only Customer Service could do that ( they referred me to him). I requested alternative transportation, I was told there was no options. We ended up taking a $210.00 Uber to Miami Airport. Do you think Greyhound will reimburse Uber? Refund tickets? read more

I really can't stand this bus line. There is always some drama that causes delay (last time the police had to come because the driver was picking verbal fights with a passenger and on a power trip). The drivers are rarely friendly. Yet the company has a monopoly. Today's gem was that the Key West to Miami Route (the 8:30am one) is no longer on the big bus. It's on a small bus with NO BATHROOM! SURPRISE!! Two hours until the first stop - a Burger King with only ONE STALL in the bathroom. HUGE LINE to use it and the break is only 15 minutes. AND! The new bus AC stops working if the bus isn't moving. So while you are waiting for everyone to board you are on a sweaty bus with no AC (it's June in Florida...come on!!!) Some elderly person is going to have an accident because two hours is a long time to hold it. If GO bus would come up with a morning route they would shut this terribly company down for good in KW. read more

This was my first time visiting Miami or Key West, so I liked the affordable option of taking the bus and not having to do the long drive myself. However, customer service is extremely lacking. It took the woman in Miami at the counter at least 10 minutes to get my reservation sorted out. When I arrived at the bus stop in Key West to return to Miami, I asked the guy at the counter for a tag for my suitcase for under the Bus. Wise ass remark, "Didn't you read the sign right out the door to bring your bag in so we can weigh it?" Mind you, in front of the entrance there are multiple signs posted, and most people won't have to time to read them all. That and nobody weighed my bag in Miami. He weighed my bag, and said it was "way over the limit" by 6 pounds and it would be an extra $42. I just shuffled some things into my carry-on. Granted, there were maybe about 8 people on the whole bus, so I really didn't see the big issue. Clearly, Greyhound has no interest in improving their customer service based on others' reviews. Unlike the airlines, they seem to have a monopoly on bus travel, so they could care less. I think next time I'll just fly directly into Key West. read more
