I'm not sure if the photography was having a hard day or was feeling out of it but we received our…read morewedding photos back a few days ago and none of them are salvageable. They are mainly photos of peoples back of their heads, people feet, random things. Most photos are off-center, unedited, and most were blurry. We could not find one nice photo out of 100. This is so heartbreaking because its not like an annual even like a birthday party where were can "try again next year". This was a once in a life time moment that will never come again. My husband and my family and I are in disbelief and are so very heartbroken. We let the owner (paul) know who has stopped replying. There has been no solution, no refund, not even an apology. She's able to capture the perfect shots, to know what's working in a shoot and what's not. She's warm, patient and gentle. She makes your shoot fun and comfortable. Amanda even makes casts of your little ones hands and feet! Her prices are super reasonable, she gives you tons of edited photos electronically. They are yours to do what you want with! She has done maternity, Christmas, newborn, mom and me, fall shoots and just did ones of my daughter (9 months)- she's the one on her tummy in the pink dress with the pearls. We are booked for family pictures and our upcoming wedding! For me, Purdy impressions is a perfect way to capture all those special Memories in what life brings.

I have been thinking a lot over the past 9 months about what I wanted to say about the service that…read morewe received. I will start by saying that Amanda is very friendly and outgoing, and that we had no problems in studio except that we did not have a choice about colours or backgrounds for the Newborn Package 2. Also, we were told that our package did not cover certain sets, so I just went along with what she said because she's the "professional". When we left, I forgot to ask about the turn around time so I sent her a FB message 5 days later (that was our means of communication previously) because my mom asked me to check; my mom was very excited to see photos of her first grandchild. I was sure to say that I did not expect the photos right away, I just wanted to know the timeline. I did not receive a response so 10 days after the last message (15 days after the shoot) I sent another message just asking about the timeline...still not expecting to receive the photos. She did not respond to us, instead 2 days later I received the photos and she did not touch up anything that she said she would. My poor beautiful baby had peeling skin and redness. I do not like to give bad reviews and looking back at the photos, it makes me so sad that Amanda did not try to provide a finished product. I thought that I was choosing a good package based on the number of photos and time in studio, I did not think that it would affect the quality of the work that I would receive. I waited for awhile before commenting, thinking that I was being too picky, but even now, almost nine months later, I am so sad that we weren't able to capture our newborn properly. I thought that if I booked a follow up session, then I could discuss my concerns in person and maybe she would fix her work. We booked on the 26 Sept for a 19 Nov session. On the 27 Oct, she advised me that she doesn't do follow up session on those days. Suffice to say, I would highly recommend going elsewhere. UPDATE: Since posting the above review, I reached out to discuss my displeasure because I hate giving negative reviews. She threatened legal action if I do not remove my review and insulted the looks of my baby. STAY AWAY she is very unstable. I could not believe the comments made. I should not have reached out to try and resolve the situation as you cannot rationalize with an irrational person.

If you ever needed an ego boost or just confirmation of how beautiful you look at whatever stage of…read moreyour life you happen to be, this is the thing for you! I saw an ad on FB for a free photoshoot with one keepsake picture, and decided to give it a try. Of course, I was determined I would take the "least objectionable" (read "laughable") picture and leave it at that. Before the appointment, I received a phone call from Zainab who explained in detail what would be involved, answered all my questions and booked my appointment for the following Tuesday. It being a weekday and not as busy, I received free hair and makeup (normally $75) before the shoot. Chloé, the hair and make-up artist, did a fabulous job making me feel camera-ready and glamorous. And she took in consideration my request not to be overdone, as that is not my style. Then the real fun started! Willow, the photographer was a master at keeping me relaxed, explaining (with demonstration) each pose very clearly, always asking my opinion and checking my comfort level. If there was anything I did not want to do, she never pushed. These are NOT erotic or even soft-porn pictures, they are sensuous and elegant. If you are looking for anything less, Nuovo is not for you. At the end of the shoot (about 30-40 minutes) we went to check the results, and I was stunned! I've honestly never felt better about pictures of me, much less in sexy poses! And I'm verging on 70! I did end up buying an album (not cheap, but then neither is Nuovo's work) and cannot wait to surprise my Man! I highly, HIGHLY recommend Nuovo! Their all-women team is made up of true professionals.

These photo sessions are not for everyone and not everyone is comfortable with the idea of nude (topless) photos. They also offer photo sessions for couples. I won a free $400 gift card at the Capital Wedding Show. The $400 covers the cost of a photo shoot (roughly 15 mins) and one photo of your choosing to keep (in colour and in black/white). The staff were very friendly and of course, most people that come in are very nervous and they understand that. It's definitely a once in a lifetime experience for me (as the prices are high) but it made me feel more confident about my body. I ended up buying a photo package because it was a lovely experience and the photos turned out so well. The photographer was a nice lady who made me feel so comfortable. I would recommend this experience to anyone who is even a bit curious. I was nervous at first but I'm glad I did it.
