I saw an ad on FB for a free photoshoot with one keepsake picture, and decided to give it a try. Of course, I was determined I would take the "least objectionable" (read "laughable") picture and leave it at that. Before the appointment, I received a phone call from Zainab who explained in detail what would be involved, answered all my questions and booked my appointment for the following Tuesday. It being a weekday and not as busy, I received free hair and makeup (normally $75) before the shoot. Chloé, the hair and make-up artist, did a fabulous job making me feel camera-ready and glamorous. And she took in consideration my request not to be overdone, as that is not my style. Then the real fun started! Willow, the photographer was a master at keeping me relaxed, explaining (with demonstration) each pose very clearly, always asking my opinion and checking my comfort level. If there was anything I did not want to do, she never pushed. These are NOT erotic or even soft-porn pictures, they are sensuous and elegant. If you are looking for anything less, Nuovo is not for you. At the end of the shoot (about 30-40 minutes) we went to check the results, and I was stunned! I've honestly never felt better about pictures of me, much less in sexy poses! And I'm verging on 70! I did end up buying an album (not cheap, but then neither is Nuovo's work) and cannot wait to surprise my Man! I highly, HIGHLY recommend Nuovo! The staff were very friendly and of course, most people that come in are very nervous and they understand that. It's definitely a once in a lifetime experience for me (as the prices are high) but it made me feel more confident about my body. I ended up buying a photo package because it was a lovely experience and the photos turned out so well. The photographer was a nice lady who made me feel so comfortable. They are mainly photos of peoples back of their heads, people feet, random things. Most photos are off-center, unedited, and most were blurry. We could not find one nice photo out of 100. This is so heartbreaking because its not like an annual even like a birthday party where were can "try again next year". This was a once in a life time moment that will never come again. My husband and my family and I are in disbelief and are so very heartbroken. We let the owner (paul) know who has stopped replying. There has been no solution, no refund, not even an apology. Dont waste your special day or event on this 'photographer', let alone the money. :(
