Amazing rustic house with a wraparound porch and private outside entrances to all of the rooms…read more Great natural themed decor and each room has a two person jacuzzi. Great breakfast served in the morning as well. Pegi and Clark are great hosts. You'll love your visit here. Our room was also by a flowing creek which was relaxing. You can stay here as part of a hiking trip to the nearby Wichita Wildlife Refuge, or not. Coming to a comfortable inn after hiking sounds great though, doesn't it? By the way, Mount Scott is rated as having the most beautiful view in Oklahoma, and is near the inn. Also, there are some great spots to eat the area, such as Meers burgers. Medicine Park's main street is just a 5 minute drive (if that). You can go into town to get dinner or go further down the state highway to Fishermen's Cove. We got here later than expected but wish we got there earlier to just relax. There are rocking chairs outside each room which would have been nice to sit on and read a book or play chess. No kids, pets, or smoking. Very relaxing and the weather couldn't have been better. City people, get away and relax.

Sitting in the peaceful shadow of Mt. Scott, the Stardust Inn is the perfect homebase to launch…read moreyour adventure through the beautiful Wichita Mountains. Rodney & Melissa are the kindest hosts, and their rooms are comfortable, relaxing and optimally located for access to all the highlights that Medicine Park has to offer. Stay a stones throw from the best restaurants in the area and a short walk to the historic downtown, I highly recommend heading up here from DFW, Tulsa, OKC, or anywhere in the country. We will surely be back. Thanks y'all!

Great place to stay, more home-like than hotel!…read more When traveling thru small towns, I don't typically hold high expectations of hotels or eateries. Traffic drives quality, and low traffic is usually met with an appropriate level of accommodations. Kim's Cottage is a diamond in the rough: old school downtown main drag, commercial storefront, repurposed with quaint, homey cottage style dwellings inside. Adorned with antique bedding, bedside-bench & credenza, my cottage (#1) had unique charm with vintage touch. While I didn't partake in the amenity, my room featured a decent jacuzzi tub as well. Where the Best Western down the road may offer a continental breakfast, Kim's Cottage had a lovely spread of cereal and breakfast bars, generously available for consumption in my room, on-demand, day or night. I truly appreciate the accommodation! The bathroom was clean and again, featured homey details. Just felt "more friendly" than a cold hotel room. Fresh towels, actual shampoo & body wash I'd want to use, and even a stash of fresh q-tips. I found Kim's Cottage courtesy of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, while shopping for a hotel for a pending business trip and couldn't be happier with the recommendation. While I'm unsure if my work will again take me to Canadian, I'm so thankful for the experience and for enjoying a good night's sleep! Thanks Kim's Cottage! -AW

I made the reservation for my boyfriend who was headed back home from the Sturgis motorcycle rally…read morein August 2020. Weather had been bad all the way up from Texas and back and we'd been booking last minute cheapest rooms, but I wanted his last night on the road to be special because it had been such an arduous trip. He really liked it but felt it was too "frilly" for his comfort. He's kind of a bull in the china shop type guy. But he went on and on about how much I would have loved it, and how fun it was that the suites were built as separate cottages inside of the historic building. The hosts were very nice. And he loved the hot tub and didn't want to leave it. He said there was also a performance theatre next door, also owned by Kim's family. All in all, well worth it to stop and stay at Kim's.
