Our group of ladies 50 years and over used Gregory Vineyards for our Christmas Party. There were 35 of us on a Saturday from noon until about 3:30p. We had so much fun there and we felt welcomed! The staff was amazing! Latarsha was our hostess and event contact. She was excellent to work with pre and post event. She curated a "Splash and Dash" which is a mini wine tasting. It was fun. The food was delicious! Fresh, hot and tasty was what I can say! Our members raved about the charming venue and the food and service. Plenty of close parking and wheelchair accessible. We rented the entire dining room and had all of our activities there. We plan to use the venue again in the future. Oh...let me mention the cost was very reasonable too.

Great wines at a VERY reasonable price. Did the full tasting led by Steve who was great. More sweets than dry. I prefer sweet wines. Also had brandy infused. Beautiful property. All brandy and wines made on site from on site grown grapes. Very nice porch to enjoy a glass of wine. Loved the Mary Elizabeth, happy and red apple shine and took home a bottle of each but ALL the wines were great. Highly recommend this winery!

I took my MEETUP group to Gregory's Vineyard this past weekend and all 15 people enjoyed our wine tasting experience immensely! Nate was exceptional, he took his time giving us a full history about each bottle of wine served. (with enthusiasm) Teresa kept the group entertained with a spontaneous raffle that everyone enjoyed. We stayed for dinner at Lane' Steakhouse and Seafood. The food was fresh and prepared to order! After dinner, we retreated outside to enjoy a BEAUTIFUL view of the vineyard. I attended a wine tasting in Mykonos Greece several months ago that is no comparison to our experience at Gregory's in the good ole USA! If you were thinking about going, go! You will not be disappointed! Happy tasting! Allissa

Maybe our new favorite place... Wine tastings are great and staff and owner are super people. Want to feel at home. Check this place out. Sit down wine tastings before 5PM - they will do a shorter version after. Make sure to have dinner while you are there. You will be happy you did.

My first Raleigh food tour was a great introduction to Raleigh and how I learned to get around in Downtown Raleigh. So since then I always try to find a food tour while traveling. Even though I've taken the Raleigh tour multiple times it has not been the same exact tour as the restaurants rotate so the route changes. Taste Carolina has tours in Raleigh; Durham; Hillsborough; Asheville; Winston Salem; Greensboro; Chapel Hill; Charlotte and Wilmington. Besides Raleigh, I've been on the Hillsborough tour; Durham tour and Wilmington tour. The only tour that wasn't up to par with the other Taste Carolina tours was the Wilmington tour. I do not recommend that tour. The website is easy to use and book the tour you want to take and you can list any food restrictions or food allergies. They try to accommodate. Then you are provided a starting location and parking suggestions. On tour day, you meet your guide and you are off exploring the town as well as discovering restaurants you might not have heard of before. Back when I started these tours, my palate was limited. These tours exposed me to foods I never would have ordered. Some I loved and others not so much but that is all part of the experience to try new things. Generally there are about five or six stops on the tour. You will be given your dish then usually the chef or owner comes out and tells you about the dish and the history of the restaurant. On my last tour I took the Durham tour a second time. At the stating point, the guide had the route we'd be walking on a map with all the restaurants we'd be stopping. I learned some new areas in Durham and went to new restaurants. I regularly eat at several restaurants I was introduced to on the first Durham tour. I've tried to take the Asheville tour for years but the weeks it runs never meshes when I am in town. March will take me on the Greensboro tour though. This was recommended to me by someone on my Durham food tour.
