Dr Tovmassian, is the best doctor you'll ever meet when it comes to your foot care. My husband walks today because of Dr T. We see him every two weeks and its the best couple of hours to n from our visit with Dr T. He and his fellow drs and office staff are the most caring you will ever meet. Don't hesitate one minute if you have foot problems............he's the best. and the reviews below are so true of how his patients feel. Yes we have had to wait but don't let that discourage you, stay and go the course. You'll never regret that decision. Marie & Ron Coleman read more

Dr. Tovmassian is the best. He saved my foot from amputation. I appreciate all of the time he spent on my foot.

He is a great podiatrist and surgeon. My husband had to have both big toes amputated and he has been thorough and patient- very easy to talk with. Highly recommend - read more

Forget going to this place if you are looking for help with toenail fungus. I paid a great deal of money to this place - over $1200 for them to eliminate toenail fungus from one foot. They offer NO guarantee and there is a reason for this.......because they do not product results for everybody. They offered no partial refund, nothing. Additionally, the extra medicine they want you to use is not free with this large fee. Nope. And it is not cheap either. One of them comes from a compound pharmacy and is over $100. So be prepared to whip out your money if you go here. I was so disappointed. And I followed his directives to the letter. That is, when they decided to give me the proper directives. The first time I went there they failed to tell me about the compound pharmacy or the medicine. Not very good communication. I do not recommend this place at all. Try someone else. For your own good. read more

I became a patient of Dr Tovmassian about a year ago. The reoccurring ulcer on my foot had been a constant issue for months. My former podiatrist referred me to his office. Ive had 2 surgeries and Im hopeful this last will be successful. This office is awesome. The front desk staff are great. Very friendly and helpful. They always remember my name. The nurses are courteous and professional. And Dr Tovmassian is the best! My foot problems are near to being healed and I owe it all to him. Would def refer anyone needing help with podiatric issues to Sacramento Foot and Ankle read more

In the beginning I really liked him and he seemed he knew what he was talking about. I never got a chance to see if he was a good surgeon or not he put me through so many hoops to even start a surgery which IMO I needed very bad. Blood work (normal to do) quit smoking AHHHHH WHAT? (normal to ask ... but not demand or you won't do surgery) the between office and doctor they couldn't manage to get it together time wise with the insurance, blood work, X-rays and throw in an EGK too appointment after appointment (so many appointments) for 2 years or more I got the run around. I quit smoking for this? Finally I just gave up it wasn't going to happen. By the time blood work came back and they read it, it was time to put in another insurance claim to be ok'd again. Insurance would accept then the blood work was over 6 months old so they had to do it again then the insurance claim would expire. It was a revolving door. Other doctor's don't seem to have a problem before surgeries so it had nothing to do with insurance provider. I think it was easier for doctor T to have once a month office visit sometimes more, than to actually complete the care I was there for(bunions) super bad bunions. Then the Pandemic hit so another year passes still have bunions but that's nothing compared to others and the loss of others this year a bunion was a petty issue. Since the pandemic is clearing up some what I will now try again. Somewhere else! I QUIT SMOKING THOUGH and gained over 50 lbs. which surely IMO he would have found some reason the new weight I gained needed more testing because I was now considered obese I probably wasn't eligible for surgery at all. . Hmmmmm does he consider this a win! read more

First let me say that I am in no way connected to this business and this is a genuine review (maybe the 1st Yelp review I've done). I am a Kaiser patient but they weren't giving my the help I needed so I went to Sacramento Foot and Ankle without insurance coverage. I was completely satisfied with Dr Tovmassian. He answered all my questions and gave me good advise. He provided all my options and didn't try to upwell me on anything. read more

Best Podiatrist around. Very caring, kind, and cleaned up another surgeon's mess. I would very highly recommend him. 10/10 !

I am not sure why this says Bay Area Foot Care, but the address is for Sacramento Foot and Ankle. I was referred to them by my Kaiser doctor and am thrilled with the results! I have had two neuroma surgeries on the same foot, and a year after the last one, I was still having strange nerve pains. Sharp, burning pain was waking me up at night. I was referred to Sacramento Foot and Ankle Center for custom orthotics which helped with the walking but still the nerve pain persisted. Dr. Tovmassian told me about the MLS Laser Therapy and I was very skeptical, but desperate for relief. After the first 6 treatments, I realized that I had marked improvement so I signed up for 4 more treatments. I no longer have any nerve pain in my foot and it is such a relief. I never thought I could get rid of that! I would highly recommend giving this a try. It was so worth it. It was painless and takes only about 10 minutes per session. The office is extremely efficient so you are in and out in no time. Laurie B Newcastle, CA read more

I have been struggling with ingrown toe nails as long as I can remember. A friend of mine recommended Dr.Tovmassian but for many months I was reluctant to go. Mainly because I am terrified of needles. After a month of my nail not healing on its own, I began to worry, as I am 8 months pregnant and know that any infection could be very bad for the baby. I called on Monday and after a quick call I had a consultation booked for Wednesday morning (today). I went in completely terrified and nervous. When the Dr. saw my toe he immediate said he can tell that I have a piece of nail stuck deep down and gave me the 3 options I had for taking care of the problem. I opted with the more expensive procedure as it has a 95% chance of me never having to deal with this problem again, which I was more than happy to hear. I asked him about my other toe and he said that it was unnecessary at this point because the nail looks healthy. The numbing part was practically painless (this is coming from someone with a needle phobia) and the procedure was over before I could even ask how long it would take. Not even 2 minutes in, he said we were done. I was very surprised and relieved, even though I did not feel a thing during the whole process. He even showed me the nail that was removed and causing this inflammation. Interesting that such a small piece of nail can cause so much pain and stress! I am extremely happy with my experience so far and will definitely be recommending Dr.T to all my friends and family struggling with the same problem. I can't say enough good things about my experience and this clinic. read more

I had the fortunate opportunity to have Dr. Kazak as my dr when I was in Mercy Folsom hospital with a serious foot infection . Dr Kazak did such a great job I I may never know how to truly thank him He was very caring and explained everything he was doing to help me with my injury. In a time when things are so rushed he took great care of my foot and ankle . He showed me how to do wound care, how to correctly use antibiotic dressing, and how to take care of my foot. Dr Kazak is truly an exceptional podiatrist and Doctor with great bedside manners . I felt very confident in his care read more

This is my first Yelp review. And I am a real patient of Dr. T. I had been having left ankle and right great toe issue for years. Even to the point I had to get a handicap parking permit. After getting a MRI on my ankle my primary care Dr referred me to Dr. Tovmassian. I made an appointment. The appt was made for a Saturday. I saw the Dr and provided him a copy of my MRi, torn tendons, ligament issues and fluid on the ankle, along with my great right toe joint that is fusing. Dr T suggested a cortisteroid shot and new orthodics. A month and half later I am walking 4 miles per day and have even walked the golf course three times. And with the help of calorie counting and the walking I have lost 25 pounds in the last three months. But YES I can walk the golf course. The Doc is easy to talk to and the office staff is very pleasant. If you got feet problems give him a try. read more

Dr. Tovmassian treated my husband after a toe amputation brought about as a result of diabetes. Dr, T treated my husband while he completed his residency at Kaiser Santa Clara Hospital. We could not have asked for a more caring and concerned podiatrist who meticulously treated my husband's condition and assured that he would not have a recurrence of the event by offering advise on how my husband should take care of his feet and indeed his overall physical condition. Dr. T. is a lovely man with a great sense of humor and most importantly, - a thorough physician who has great concern for his patients, Catherine B. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Tovmassian's for about 5yrs. I have reoccurring wounds on my feet and leg, as well as swelling in both legs. I was originally recommended to Dr. Tovmassian by a wound care nurse who worked at Mercy San Juan Hospital. I was going there for wound treatment. The progress was slow at best and she knew Dr. Tovmassian and called him for me. I went to him and found out he didn't take my insurance. He was nice enough to arrange a payment plan for me which was very affordable. Dr. Tovmassian is a very patient, knowledgeable Doctor and doesn't make you feel like a number....like too many Doctors do now days. He will answer all your questions and concerns and not make you feel like he's walking out the door while doing so. His office staff is wonderful as well....very pleasant and helpful. I've never had to wait over 10 -15 min. They are pretty punctual and it's never a problem trying to schedule an appointment to see Dr. Tovmassian. As far as my wounds, I'm a work in progress. I have had success with Dr. Tovmassian getting my wounds to heal, but they continue to open not because of anything he's doing wrong, but because of a vein issue I have. I'm currently seeing a vein surgeon, whom Dr. Tovmassian knows and is collaborating with to hopefully get me on the track to healing permanently. As I said, I'm a work in progress!! read more

I have been Dr Tovmassian's patient nearly a year now. My primary care physician sent me the the emergency room to be seen for gangrene on 2 of my toes. Fortunately, I was assigned to Dr Tovmassian. I lost the two toes and only that, thanks to God and the good doctor. Post op, I have continued to be treated in Dr Tovmassian's clinic. That would reflect 4 to 6 week visits. Dr Tovmassian and his staff are caring and professional; I am a patient for life. read more

Thank you for great job you're doing. It's really good service! I recommend it!

I was referred to Dr. Tovmassian through my primary care physician. From start to finish the facility, care, and professionalism exceeded any expectations I have had. Not only that but I felt 110% comfortable the whole time. I cannot even bring to words the gratitude and appreciation I feel towards this office. The reason I was there to begin with was a very touchy subject for me. I have had plantar warts(feet) in the past and have gone through every treatment known to man to get rid of them. Treatments including hundreds of dollars spent on at home care treatments, duct tape even lol, freezing a numerous times in more than one dr. office, referrals on top of referrals, cauterization(the most painful of them all including numbing shots in the foot that were excruciating), and finally surgeory. The only way I've gotten rid of them in the past was surgeory and I was told this was the only way to get rid of them. (At least up until i met dr tovmassian) A couple years past the surgeory i had 2 return. Not knowing what to do besides surgeory I was sent to dr. Tovmassian. He made me feel incredibly comfortable and gave me hope from the beginning that surgeory is not the only way. I of course told him everything I've been through and he assured me he could have a successful treatment. He was so incredibly right. He applied a solution that was completely painless. The only (if any discomfort) was the next day that area was a little sore from the skin blistering a tiny bit. Compared to surgeory and countless other treatments, I will take it!!! I couldn't believe how painless this procedure was and yes....it actually worked!! I am so thankful I have found dr. Tovmassian and his amazing treatment. I only hope that other dr.s recognize the miracle of this treatment and it becomes a more well known option. I can't thank dr. Tovmassian enough for giving me hope and curing my issue. What an amazing dr! Melissa S read more

He has gifted hands! In the past I had 2 surgeries on my feet by 2 different doctors that left them completely mutilated. I have been in severe pain since the last surgery in 1988 and I was just 36 years old & for over 30 yrs terrified to risk a 3rd surgery. I was forced to use a mobility cart as the pain was so extreme I would fall every day - sometimes several times a day! At my age (66) I could easily break bones so I knew I had to do something. The first 3 doctors wanted to take the easy way out & amputate part of my foot so I kept searching. The reviews for Dr. Tovmassian were 5-star on EVERY site I searched. Patients raved about him & they were right! He is a VERY skilled surgeon! I swear he has gifted hands! For the first time in decades I can walk pain free and accomplished that without amputation! His bedside manner is impeccable. His expertise beyond compare. I feel he was a gift from God. With complete & total confidence I highly recommend this brilliant surgeon! read more

I arrived 15 minutes early for my scheduled appointment time. After an hour of waiting, I went to the front desk and ask if my appointment was an hour ago. The receptionist said they are running a little late. I said an hour wait after the scheduled appointment time was more than a little late. So, I left. I would not recommend going here read more
