Excellent care. He really listens and was down to earth with his advice. He is out right now and I miss him. Been there at least 3 times

Dr. B is literally the best Derm in LA. I haven't been able to see him during the past few years…read morebecause of Covid, I lost my PPO insurance-- which is not his fault, obviously. He is the friendliest and most adorable man and a complete skin genius and wizard! Even though he does a lot of cosmetic high end dermatology and his office looks like a million bucks, he's one of the rare LA premium dermatologists that also does medical dermatology which is what I saw him for. Acne and Eczema. The latter of which can be hard to treat. I also messed myself up with a stupid at home micro-needle and he fixed me right up and didn't make me feel like a jerk! But what I am most thankful for is his care for my husband (at the time) who is very fair and works outside quite a bit. He caught three!! melanomas before they became serious. Two of which were on the face. We were worried that his face would have scars but you can't tell anything ever happened. That's how talented he is!! Before Dr B, my husband had a melanoma on his back and the dermatologist we had at the time dug it out like he was scooping freezing ice cream! There was a huge scar and indentation. So it matters a lot how skilled your Derm is at both the medical aspects and the cosmetic ones. To quote him, "I've never lost a patient to skin cancer!" Thank the heavens!! It was a relief that all we had to do was make sure my hub went every six months for his skin check with Dr B to remain melanoma free. Peace of mind, priceless! I also had a painful skin problem that was chronic and in a sensitive area that's the domain of the lady doctor. My GYN tried everything and he's also a fabulous doctor. But I was in so much pain and so frustrated because we couldn't figure out what it was and I just couldn't live with no diagnosis. Even though this area isn't the area of the dermatologist to take care of, I told Dr B about it and how desperate I was. He said if I was comfortable, he would look at it (along with a female nurse present) and I said please do. Well, he solved it! It was it eczema- the worst! And he solved it. Cured! I had been dealing with that for at least two years and finally he resolved it. No more pain, no more frustration! Not many doctors would be willing to do that, but he did, because he's a badass and a wonderful person! As soon as I get a PPO, I'm running back to him! I believe his office has some parking in the back too. There's a CVS down just down the road and lots of cafes walking distance just up the block if you need a good cup of coffee. Just be careful parallel parking around there because you don't want to dent a G Wagon or a Bentley lol. Hey, maybe you drive one! Smoke 'em if you got 'em!

Honestly, that's why I trusted him. I spent that year on topical finasteride and minoxidil, and dermastamping multiple times a week, slowly improving donor quality until he felt I could proceed--with realistic expectations. The procedure itself was incredibly smooth. Zero pain with conscious sedation, and he personally performed all extractions and site creation, which I think really matters. This isn't about achieving perfect density. It's about using limited grafts thoughtfully to create a natural frame for the face. From where I started, this result is beyond anything I expected, and we're already planning a second session to build density. Biggest takeaways: candidacy matters, expectations matter even more, and finding an honest surgeon who thinks like an artist is everything.

I flew in from Seattle for the procedure, and I'm glad I did. My case wasn't simple since I had limited donor hair left and needed a repair, but he was still able to extract around 4,000 grafts and give me coverage in the areas that needed it. I'm looking forward to seeing how everything grows in over the next year. The follow-up care made a big difference for me. Dr. Sean checked in often and always responded when I had questions or concerns. Having that kind of communication made the recovery process so much less stressful. I do wish I had found him years ago. He has numerous compassionate doctor awards in his office, and after my experience, I can see why. I'm truly grateful I chose to have my procedure with Dr. Sean.

She is confident in her work - which is a lot more than I can say for the "celebrity dermatologists" who are running their offices as mills and don't actually care to help patients. I did various treatments with Dr. Ahdout including skin needling and her work is impeccable. She is also incredibly honest. I had done PRP at another office nearby at a much higher price and Dr. Ahdout explained how she believes it doesn't do much. She noted letting the blood from skin needling sit on the skin afterwards is sufficient. She could have sold me on PRP since I had inquired about it, but she was transparent. She is a truly trustworthy professional. Dr. Ahdout is high in both mental and emotional intelligence. She also hires people who run her office professionally. She has high standards both with how she treats and takes care of patients and also how her patients are treated by her staff. Doctors hire people who are like them. Most so called healthcare professionals couldn't care less about creating a healing environment as they hire wolves like them to run their offices. Therefore, most doctor's offices are not healing to say the least. Dr. Ahdout truly cares about her patients and creating a healing environment. I highly recommend her.

Patient safety, comfort, and transparency during procedures are extremely important to our practice. To clarify for readers, routine full-body skin examinations at our office do not involve surgical excisions. During these visits, if a lesion requires evaluation, the standard approach is a superficial biopsy, which is a minor procedure performed with appropriate local anesthetic and does not require stitches." So...I had a mirage that I got these stitches in your office? Interesting response given I have the photos...? Original post: Trigger warning: stitches without proper anesthesia After a routine skin check, Dr. Shanthi identified a small freckle that required removal and described it as a quick, simple in-office procedure. I've had similar removals before and they were minor, as promised. Once the procedure started, I realized the area removed was much larger than what had been shown to me. Partway through, the anesthetic wore off and I could feel every stitch. I told her I was in intense pain, but she continued stitching, remarking she was almost done. I left shaking, with 7 stitches and a much larger wound than I was told to expect. Days later, the stitches were under so much tension, that the internal ones began to tear and I had to seek treatment at a different derm. This experience was extremely painful and distressing, careless, and unprofessional. Afterward, I looked through other reviews and found at least one similar account after a routine skin check. Do not trust 5-star reviews that focus on routine acne treatment or the friendliness of the front desk staff.

Taya first began treating my face when I was in my mid-20s, and over the years she provided…read moreconsistent, thoughtful care as my face naturally changed. What always set her apart was that she never chased trends or pushed the "latest thing." Instead, she approached my face with a long-term, individualized treatment plan grounded in science, tissue behavior, and restraint. Her work was never about fads it was about my face. She does not over-treat, does not chase volume, and does not "do more" simply because she can. That protective approach is something she clearly takes pride in, and for good reason. In my late 30s, trying to save money, I made the mistake of going to a cheaper med spa that did not share this level of knowledge. They followed trends, overtreated, and failed to understand tissue integrity. Unfortunately, my face became severely disfigured. I became reclusive. I stopped going out. It affected my personal life, my family life, my professional confidence, and my ability to even look at myself in the mirror. I sought help everywhere. Multiple med spas refused to treat me. No one wanted their name associated with such a difficult case. Even a well-known physician who specializes in corrective work told me it was the worst filler situation he had ever seen. Eventually, I returned to Taya fully expecting to be turned away. Instead, she approached my case with honesty, compassion, and ethical clarity. She was upfront that without surgery, my face could never be restored 100%. She did not make promises she couldn't keep. She did not upsell. She did not exploit my vulnerability. She was protective not only of my outcome, but of my tissue, my finances, and my long-term well-being. What she did do was work carefully, conservatively, and skillfully to give me something I never thought I'd have again: recognition of myself. I can look in the mirror again. I recognize my face. Friends have asked if this means I'll finally start going out again, networking again, living again, and the answer is yes. That alone speaks volumes. Taya practices with restraint, integrity, and deep scientific understanding. She protects her patients rather than chasing trends or profit, and she treats faces as living tissue not as a canvas for whatever is popular that year. I cried that day, because for the first time in years, I saw me again. For that, I will forever be grateful. If you are considering aesthetic treatment, especially if you are young and tempted by cheaper, trend-driven options please hear this as a warning and a testament: faces are not trends, and tissue remembers everything. Skill, ethics, and science matter. Taya is exceptional. Ava Md is fortunate to have her.

I had almost completed two packages of the LipLase treatment with Monica Masterson, NP when during…read moremy last session, she unexpectedly turned to me and said: "So my understanding is that even though you have smaller lips, you still don't want something more intensive like filler?" I was in shock. My full, ample, voluptuous lips are one of those features I always treasured and cherished receiving admiration for. I was so surprised to hear someone could actually find them to be small, my mind did briefly go to "OMG, DO I need filler?" and I started asking her all about filler. Of course, then I remembered they're a business and that's exactly what they wanted--or else they would NEVER make a comment that's so far from the gorgeous reality that is me. She then made it worse by talking about how she doesn't care about money and never pushes fillers on people--which of course made me wonder, is she saying it because it's *true* then?? After several therapy sessions, I am happy to say I am back to the level of confidence I had before this comment was made--so now that I'm stronger, I'm speaking up for myself. It was so startling and frightening to go in for what I thought would be a normal, caring, professional treatment and instead receive criticism of my body, completely out of the blue, not asked for, and non-consensual. It felt like a real violation of patient boundaries. I was here to receive a service, not an evaluation of my looks. This is a recent photo of me, BTW--taken months before I received their services at all. I am absolutely gorgeous just the way I am. As I am a model and adult star, I sometimes undergo non-invasive treatments to look even better, but that does not entitle anyone to invade my personal space and make unwanted comments about my body. If *I* somehow have "smaller lips," how many women have any hope of having normal lips?!? Businesses like this need to understand that, yes, in a way, they are profiting off people's insecurities--but if they *encourage* those very insecurities, it will backfire and they will lose business. People come here to gain confidence, not lose it. And customers, please know: No matter how much self-hatred businesses try to instill in you, love is so much greater than hate and as long as you have self-love, that will prevail. You can always choose self-love. They can never really hurt you.
