Eventually spoke with Brian (the main manager), who batted back the issue with "we've never had any other issues". The majority of the cake remains, and we offered to return - but unfortunately this was declined. I would have given 0 in the stars review if this was possible ! We spoke to the baker and he told us it was all part of the same business, the bakers and the cheese shop and the bakery had outgrown the building and was soon to be moving a mile or two up the road. Anyhow, we walked through the front door and were amazed at the wonderful display of freshly baked breads available to buy. From super open textured, crunchy baguettes to heavy sourdough and super soft farmhouse loaves, stilton and walnut bread, oily foccaccia and on and on. There was also a small selection of sweets such as really nutty brownies, pain au chocolat and danish. Everything looked so good, it took us forever to narrow down our choices. We ended up buying four loaves of bread and two cakes. All were beautiful and very tasty which is a big lack in most of today's crappy supermarket breads which people have become accustomed. My favourite was the baguette, it really was out of this world. The breads were a little pricey but WELL worth it. And the place is definetly worth a visit!

Like the best coffee shops in the NQ and Shoreditch, Noa takes their coffee seriously and every time I've been in there my favoured cappuccino has been excellent with even my husband, notoriously picky about the standard of his flat whites, leaving more than happy. Food wise Noa offer a selection of tasty looking cakes as well as a short daily changing savoury menu with things such as soup, salad and sandwiches on it, all of which offer variety a bit different from your bog standard cheese and ham sarnie etc. Last time we were in I had the 'Bugsy' salad, which although was extremely virtuous being full of veggies, seeds and houmous, was fresh and really tasty. My only negative is that I found it a bit pricey at around the £6 mark when it was pre-prepped in the fridge and presented in a plastic cup, more like a takeaway option. Call me fickle but I'd have been more than happy to have paid this if it had been presented on a proper plate and even better if they'd added on a chunk of their lovely bread (Note, the photo I added of it was after I grabbed a plate and pinched a couple of pieces of my husband's bread!) I shouldn't have to make an excuse to go here - It's excellent. The ground floor is their outstanding chocolate and cake shop - definitely worth spending some time here tasting and choosing what they have on offer. Their selection of over 40 celebration cakes on display are stunning - you'll find yourself staring at them like some sort of art. A few of the wedding cakes are pushing £1,000.. asking if it would be worth it? For me, yes! Their cakes are amazing - no wonder Wayne Rooney bought his wedding cake from here and had it shipped to Italy. You'll find me with my face pressed up against the viewing window where you can watch the cake decorators working hard to perfect these masterpieces *drool* I'm certainly not planning my wedding or anything but I already know that there's a massive possibility that my cake will be from here. On the first floor is an elegant restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and of course CAKE. The menu is fab and I haven't heard anybody mention a bad word about it. In the past I have bought baskets from here and made my own hampers, mainly for family or friends at Christmas time - consisting of chocolates, hand make cakes, biscuits, marmalades, wines etc (all locally sourced).
