I'm amazed there's only one review of this place as it's a little treasure…read more It's not a Greggs, so that's a great start. it's an all too rare, independent bakers in Cardiff, selling good quality, home made, fresh food without shedloads of preservatives. You can get pies, pasties, quiches, pizzas and wonderful cakes. My favourite is an apple cake thing which is lovely. Because they're a small concern it often depends what time of day you go as to what's left. The main reason I go in is because they make they're own bread. Importantly they don't just make bread from wheat but also from spelt. Quite a few people are gluten intolerant so spelt is a good alternative. If I'm not mistaken spelt is native to the UK and was the flour of choice before cheap wheat from the Commonwealth became common. So with transport costs high and a move towards food sourced locally spelt is likely to become an important part of our diet in the future. Get down there and give it a try but it does sell out quickly.

Warren's is not in the best location, with a narrow pavement outside not leaving enough room for two pushchairs to pass each other. There must be some way to give a little more space to the pedestrian and a little less to the car in this part of Braunton. As for the cakes the photo says it all. Too many cakes and not enought time

I didn't think we needed more cake, but my friend was SURE that we needed to try at least one of their tasty treats!! The main problem is, everything looks so good- how can you choose!? We asked the staff who told us their seven (!) favourites. The best options included a peanut butter and jelly éclair, passionfruit cheese cake, chocolate ganache heaven...I could go on... They have good cake options!! Why you should visit: - It is a cute little shop - Their cakes are gorgeous - The ladies behind the counter are *so* sweet! In the end, they even gave us recommendations for decent bars...so we ended up with cake AND wine. It was a good Saturday.

Loads of different types of loaves, scrummy rolls, delicious pastries (sweet AND savoury!) and delicious cakes, all at a price that puts Tesco to absolute shame. This is possibly the best thing I've discovered in Cardiff - it's a pretty poorly-kept secret. If you like your bread, you'd better incorporate this place into your routine.
