My teeth have been a large insecurity of mine starting at a young age so I know my expectations are extremely nit picky and tedious to tend to, on top of whoever is working with me has to work around my prior dental trauma of past dental staff being too rough and not listening / proceeding even after I've expressed my pain tolerance being reached. After expressing my concerns and asking to stick with the same kind woman who had assisted me a couple of times, Tressa has gone above and beyond to ensure we schedule my appointments to match the days she is in office because I dislike having new technicians in fear not having all of my concerns heard or remembered correctly. She thoroughly explains all of the procedures being done and really makes sure she understands my concerns and brings them all up to Dr. B, who is always able to ease my anxiety and reassure me to trust the process. Tressa is very confident in her field and has a positive attitude every time we interact. Since being a patient here, I have seen through my own care and through witnessing interactions between Tressa, Noah, and Dr. B specifically, that the staff genuinely care about if their patients are happy with their results and they will not stop until you are.

My advice when choosing an…read moreorthodontist is to look not only at price but at the customer service side too because you are stuck with them for at least 12 month but typically 24 months or longer. For 18 months straight, I rearranged work and school schedules to meet a special time-frame appointment plan, which would result in some money back at end of treatment. Then one summer their office was booked solid for 6-8 weeks. The only appointment they had in that 10-2 was a week when my child was at camp so I had to choose an appointment out of that time frame. When I asked about it impacting my refund at end of treatment, I was told pretty much "too bad - you had one appointment out of the range and we did have an appointment available in that time frame" (the week my child was at camp). I then wrote a letter to the office supervisor and never got a response. I did refer a friend here and her child was treated so poorly by an abrupt doctor, he left in tears. (Needless to say I have referred other friends elsewhere.) Our initial fitting appointment, I had a toddler in the waiting room. I was asked to come back to go over braces care. I was cleaning up my toddler's toy and the dental assistant literally yelled from the treatment room "mom we need you". I'm not kidding - another patient got up and explained I was cleaning up toys. At least twice I have overheard conversations in the waiting room (note all patient conversations are held in waiting room for all to hear) when parents were asked why children's extra teeth haven't been pulled yet and parents respond they were never told by orthodontist when it was time to schedule that. I overhead another patient trying to figure out when a certain location would be open to pick-up product and receptionist just kept saying "I don't know. We don't have set hours. It depends on the appointments." Do my child's teeth look good? We're getting there. Have most other experiences been ok? I'd say yes - not steller - but ok. However, I wish I would've gone with another provider because of their poor customer service. My insurance gave us $1000 discount and, honestly, I would've paid the $1000 to get better service.

My dentist originally referred me to this place for adult braces but I was skeptical. I thought my…read moredentist probably refer me here to get incentive, so I decided not coming here. I went to 3 orthodontists that are in my company's employee discount program (they all have good rating on googles too). I felt disappointed and almost gave up on my braces wish because those orthodontists treated me like a client who they were about to rip off... I took a break from shopping around for about a month and decided to make appointment at Veil. I went in for a free consultation with the young orthodontist in glasses, he answered all my questions and gave me a quote. I requested 6 front clear ceramic bracket but i didn't get any extra charges (I asked the other 3 places and they all said I would be charged $200-300 more). My total payment was quoted and it was even cheaper than the 3 places I had gone to. I finally got my braces on in April and currently a patient. I am happy and felt guilty for thinking all physicians in orthodontic industry are there to rip me off. It was a right decision that I shopped around because I can see the differences in prices and the attitudes that I receive at Veil orthodontics. My treatment is only at beginning stage, I don't know how my result will look like at the end, but I think this place deserves more than my recommendation so I wrote this.

Now, as an adult, my teeth have shifted and I am currently 2 months into my Invisalign plan. They have multiple office locations which is convenient for me because I actually live closer to their Eden Prairie location, work near their downtown Minneapolis skyway location and am just a few minutes away from their Bloomington office which is where I went today and for my first Invisalign appointment. Their offices are always clean and their staff are always friendly. When I was asking friends about their Invisalign experience, they all recommended Veil Orthodontics so their positive experiences paired with my previous patient relationship made them the obvious choice for my Invisalign treatment

After five years, I have finally decided to post this review of Dr. Meister's terrible service. In…read moreOctober 2018, I had an appointment with Dr. Tammy Meister in hopes of getting my teeth straightened and my facial structure fixed. I had a somewhat receding jaw and other features of a mouth-breather, and my hope was to get better teeth and a better look in the end. The session with Dr. Meister was about 30 minutes on that day. I prepared some questions but felt like I was never given opportunities to ask them all or provided with clear answers. All I remember is Dr. Meister selling Invisalign and trying to hustle me into doing the treatment with her. She tried to convince me that it could fix my teeth and straighten them but never gave clear answers to questions about my appearance. Doubtful but somewhat tempted, I agreed to take the Invisalign treatment but requested that we discuss the treatment plan further at the next appointment. Her appointment was so rushed that it felt like she just wanted to get it over with and move on to the next. The next time I met with her was about a month later. Surprisingly, she didn't prepare to discuss the plan with me but instead had already set up the plan for me! It was an 18-month session for which she had already ordered the aligners from Invisalign. During the treatment, I tried to tell her that we agreed on discussing the plan further, but she asserted the plan was set and it would do me no wrong. Again, doubtful but hopeful, I took her words but insisted that we discuss it further and revise the plan as we proceed. She agreed. For the next six months, I got to see Dr. Meister on appointments once every 30 to 45 days. Each time I tried to discuss the plan and cater it to my needs, she would dismiss it. At one point, she got tired and told me outright that what I wanted was impossible, that I'd have to go through jaw surgery to achieve that result. I didn't argue with her at that point, but that was the moment I decided to terminate the treatment. I wrote to her via email, and she agreed to refund me about half the money I paid, which was about $2000 out of the $4000 I paid lump sum for the 18-month session. She also made me sign an NDA that stipulated that I should not express my negative feelings against her after the plan terminated. Throughout the six-month treatment with Dr. Meister, I had been reading and researching intensively on orthodontic cases and learned to read the x-ray results and other key components of a treatment plan. I didn't expect to be treated like an expert but should never be treated like my educated questions didn't matter. However, all I got from Dr. Meister was gaslighting and rushed sessions. From what I saw, Dr. Meister's patients were mostly young and white teenagers, and she was always busy and rushed. I wonder if that could partially explain why she couldn't treat my case professionally as an international student of a different race. For the past five years, I have kept in mind to post this review one day when I know for certain that the treatment goal I had in mind could be reached and had been reached. I now have finished my session with another orthodontist who patiently and carefully discussed plans and revised it along the way. I have my jaw in the right position now with a better look that Dr. Meister's plan would have never given me. Today, I can honestly give this review that no NDA can stop, that Dr. Meister didn't professionally treat a patient but instead gaslighted him into paying expensively for a plan that could be best termed as meeting only the minimum requirement. For all the questions she dismissed and the wrong answers she provided to stop me from getting my result (that I needed jaw surgery to get my jaw back to the right position), I say AVOID her service.

I am very happy with my treatment from Dr Meister, and all the staff. They are very modern with several types of 3D X-ray and scanning technologies used for dental imaging. They are very thorough with explanations about costs, timeline, expected results, dental hygiene requirements etc. I was treated with respect and care. Kudos to the super friendly and enjoyable staff Sheena, LPA who performed the initial installation of my braces. Any apprehensions I had were well taken care of. I look forward to my continued treatment here.
